Backstory: 18 years ago, Chiara and Diavolo were blessed with a beautiful baby girl that they named Jemelle. They lived happily together until one day, when Jemelle was 4. She and her mother were home and while she was taking a nap, her mothers ex found his way into the house and strangled Chiara before shooting himself. It was said to be a crime of passion by an insane man driven by what he thought was love. The gunshot woke up Jemelle and to this day, she is scarred by seeing her dead mother and the man with blood around his head. A neighbor called the police and when they arrived with Diavolo, the man was so shocked by the death of his wife, that he fell to the ground and started screaming. After that day however, he was never the same. Sure Diavolo kept his job and a roof over their heads, but the man began drinking heavily and abusing his only child.
