they all stood in the courtroom as john b stood in front of them with his attorney next to his side. via held sarahs hand in her lap as she noticed jj holding popes hand and kiara holding cats. they stated forward and waited
"john booker routledge, pursuant to the north Carolina statute section 14, you are charged with murder in the first degree with aggravated circumstances. if convicted, the maximum sentence would be the death penalty" the judge announced as she then dropped the gavel and via made eye contact with cat
"this is so fucked up, he's 17, 17!" via exclaimed as JJ stood up in anger and they started to yell
"thomas keep your fucking hands off of my girlfriend" Via spoke as she led them out of the beginning
"is this a joke? like are we in hell or..."kiara started
" I should have never come home" Sarah said and Via stopped her
"hey no we came home for a reason, we can and will win this thing sar trust me" Via said and she kissed sarahs forehead
" thank god the system works" A man said and via turned her head to him
"can you shut up? Hey guess what I was there I saw what happened the system doesn't work dumb ass. But of course you think the system works because it was made to protect you and people like you" Via exclaimed as ward and everyone stared
"he'll have his day in court. a jury will decide" the man exclaimed
"he shouldn't even be in court! You should, cause you're a murderer. you have A lot of nerve showing up to court" Kiara yelled at ward
" I know you're upset. i understand you're upset, okay?" Ward tried
"ward I am way past fucking upset" Via stated as he stepped closer
"upset?" Kiara said with anger on her face
"yeah I know he's got you fooled, he's got you all fooled" Ward continued
"FUCK YOU WARD" Via yelled as Kiara jumped forward
"No, I'm not just upset!" she said as they pulled Kiara back
"SHOW SOME RESPECT" ward yelled and via let go of her sister and sneered at ward making him and rose back up
" ward shut the actual fuck up, I won't ever show you respect" she exclaimed and she led Kiara snd the others away
