Someone knocks on my bedroom door.

'Alexis.' A voice says.

I sit up. 'Yeah?'

'Can I come in? It's me.'

It's Axcel.

Again.

'Who is me?' I say.

'Alexis. Please can I come in?'

'Not till you tell me who it is.'

The door cracks open, letting the daylight flood in.

How is it already a new day?

I watch as he presses his face in the tiny gap.

I snort. 'You know you could just open the door the whole way and come inside.'

'Yeah but you didn't let me in. How am I supposed to know you're decent?' He says quietly.

'I don't sleep naked Axcel.'

He laughs and pushes the door open the whole way.

He leans against the door frame. 'When was the last time you showered?'

'That's none of your business.'

'Well, you're going to need to go shower now because we're going out.'

'Who's we?'

He rolls his eyes. 'Me and you Alexis. We're going out.'

'Why?'

'Just- Will you just get out of your bed?'

'Where are you taking me Axcel?'

'It's a surprise.' He says before turning around and walking away.

'Piss take.' I mutter under my breath, before throwing my duvet off and walking towards the bathroom.

'Where are you taking me?' I ask again.

Axcel glances at me from the driver's seat. 'Alexis, you really have to learn patience.'

'I am patient. I would just prefer to know if you were about to kidnap me.'

'Why would I kidnap you? How would that benefit me?'

I turn in my seat to face him. 'I don't know Axcel. Until I know what happens in your head,' I reach out and tap his temple. 'I will not trust you.'

He glances at me, looks back at the road and then sighs.

He takes a sharp corner and pulls up outside a gate.

'Axcel.' I say to him as he reaches out his car window and presses his thumb against a scanner.

'Yeah?' He says when he settles himself back into his seat.

The gate begins to open and Seb's house appears on the horizon.

I feel my breathing pick up. I haven't been here since Seb died and I never intended to come back.

I push myself back in my seat and take a deep breath.

'Axcel, I don't want to be here.'

He stops the car in front of the house.

He turns to me and places his hand on my arm. I pull away and he sighs.

'Alexis, I know you don't want to be here, but you needed to come here eventually. It's better now than never.'

I glare at him. 'Shut up. Take me home.'
