How are you guys today???
Can I ask as an early birthday present that you guys vote and comment plss
I'm still trying to figure out what Seb was up to before he died. His files are all useless because none of them are titled 'Diego' or 'Things I was doing before I died'.
How am I supposed to find anything if most of his files are labelled by date.
Axcel's dragged me out of bed, at an unspeakable time to make me sit at a desk all day.
It's probably the most boring activity I've ever done in my life.
I log onto my computer and click on the files I imported from Seb's old computer. I haven't had a chance to look through them yet so... why not now.
I scroll past the ones with names, I even scroll past mine. I doubt Seb would have hidden the files about what he was doing behind my back under my name.
The very last file in the list is labelled 'Location'.
I think I'll probably have to search through all these files to find what I'm looking for. I might as well start from the bottom since I'm already there.
I click on the last file and an application opens. It's password locked, but I try the password to Seb's computer and it opens.
'What are you doing?' Axcel asks as he walks into my office.
Without knocking.
'Axcel. Come back when you learn to knock.' I say not looking away from the screen.
I think the app is some sort of map.
Axcel sighs, loudly.
Right in my ear.
I look to the side, to see him standing there watching my computer screen.
'Did I not tell you to leave?' I ask.
He looks at me, then at the computer screen and then back at me.
'What are you doing?' He asks again.
'Axcel.'
'Alexis.'
'I asked you to leave.'
'No. Who are you tracking?'
'What do you mean, who am I tracking?'
'I mean, why are you using the tracking software?' He asks.
He folds his arms across his chest.
'First of all, I can do what I like. Second, I'm not using the stupid map. Seb was.'
'First of all, no you can't, because you'll end up dead. Second, of course Seb was using it, he was tracking people he wanted dead usually. What are you doing if you're not using it?'
I roll my eyes and look back at the screen.
Maybe if I ignore him, he'll go away.
I move the map up and a red pulsing dot catches my notice.
Two red pulsing dots.
One labelled Alexis, and the other labelled Axcel.
They're sat right over headquarters, right where Axcel and I are.
'Did he want us dead?' I say pointing at the screen.
Axcel leans in and peers at the screen.
He needs glasses.
'I hope not.' He says.
'What's he even tracking us with? I hope he didn't inject me with something dodgy.' I say looking at my wrists.
Axcel looks at me and rolls his eyes. 'What movies do you watch in your free time? It's probably in that necklace your wearing'
I look down at my neck and touch the necklace that Seb got me for my birthday.
I take it off and hold it up.
'Where?'
'Probably inside the bullet.'
'How would he get it inside the bullet?'
'I don't know. He probably melted it down and then encased the tracker.'
I give him a face and he gives me one back.
'Squash it if you don't believe me.' He says
'I'm not squashing it.'
'You want to be tracked?'
'No but I'm not squashing it. What if there isn't a tracker in it?'
Axcel rolls his eyes before taking the necklace from my hand, dropping to the floor and stamping his foot down on it.
I glare at him wide eyed. 'Axcel.'
'Look at the computer.' He says pointing at the screen.
I look, and sure enough my red dot has disappeared.
I turn to face him. 'Still, you didn't have to ruin my necklace.'
'He gave you a house and a child. You don't need the necklace.'
I roll my eyes. 'Where's your then?'
He shrugs. 'I don't know.'
'Maybe it's in something Seb gave you. What did Seb give you?'
Axcel empties his pockets onto my desk and even takes off his cufflinks, but none of them put out his red dot.
'Maybe it's your watch.' I say pointing at his wrist.
'It can't be, Seb didn't give me that.'
'Did you give it to him for a bit or something?' I ask.
Axcel starts to shake his head, but stops.
'Wait.' He says as he unscrews the silver knob at the side that lets you change the time.
He drops it to the floor and stamps on it, and we both turn to look at the computer screen at the same time.
None of the red dots are there anymore.
'Okay, you've got to know why Seb was tracking us.' I say
'You know, I think I've come to the conclusion that I did not know everything about my brother.'
'Well, it seems like we're both in the same boat then. Let's see who else he was tracking.'
'No, Alexis. Leave it alone.'
'Why? He could be tracking Diego, and then you could find him quicker.'
He sighs. 'Alexis, going through dead people's things is bad luck.'
'That's the most stupid superstition I've ever heard in my entire time of living.'
He looks away and shakes his head. 'Do what you want Alexis, I don't really want to search through his stuff.' He says as he walks towards the door.
Before he leaves, he stops and turns back towards me. 'Also, I found Diego.'
Then he walks out.
And I run right after him.
