Chapter 30~ Daises

Something hits the window behind me and I turn to look, but there's nothing there.

'So eating is mangiare and I am eating is sto mangiando so- Alexis, are you listening?' Axcel asks.

'What, yeah.' I say.

'Well you're not writing anything down.'

I roll my eyes. 'Fine, repeat.'

'Okay, once more, mangiare means-'

I spin around as something else hits the window.

'Alexis, seriously, I could be killing people right now, but instead I'm teaching you. Concentrate.'

'Yeah I would but something's hitting the window.' I say getting up from my desk and standing at the window.

I look up and see nothing.

Then I look at both sides and see nothing.

Then I look down... and see Diego.

He catches my eye, smirks and waves.

I stare at him.

He should be dead.

Normal people can't get past all of Axcel's minions and walk away unscathed.

Clearly Diego's not normal.

He mouths something at me, that looks like gibberish.

'What?' I mouth at him.

'Come down.' He mouths back.

'What are you looking at?' Axcel asks, coming up behind me.

I spin around, blocking his view. 'Nothing, just you know...'

He moves to the left to see past me. 'No, I don't know.'

I move again to block his view. 'It's just, um, two birds.'

He moves to the right and looks down. 'Two birds what?'

I move to the right. 'Two birds having sex.' I say quickly.

Great one Lexi.

'I think that they need privacy.' I continue.

He steps back and raises his eyebrow. 'What?'

I shrug. 'You know, sex is a sacred thing, I wouldn't want to disturb them.'

'Alexis, what are you hiding?'

Diego.

'No one.' I say.

Oh shit.

He gives me a look. 'Who's downstairs?'

I shake my head. 'No one.'

'Don't lie. I know when you're lying.'

'Shut up, no you don't.'
