The windows behind me in my office at headquarters were nice until some stupid birds pooped all over them.

They definitely need a diet plan.

I spin my chair around to face my computer screen, just as Axcel comes in.

Without knocking.

Again.

He drops a file infront of me. 'I've got a job for you.' He says.

'Do you want to knock first?' I ask.

'What is your obsession with knocking?'

'I don't have an obsession with it, but everyone else knocks, so I don't see why you can't.'

'Because I don't want to and I don't feel the need to.'

I make a face. 'You're really annoying.'

'Anyway. I have a job for you.'

'Yeah, you said that, what is it?'

'House call. You get to bring your gun.'

'Oooo.'

'You don't get to use it.' He says.

I roll my eyes. 'I shot that man by accident. I'm not going to do it again.'

I push back my chair and stand up.

'I really don't trust you with a weapon.' He says as he walks out.

I follow him. 'You're going to have to learn to trust me then.' I call after him.

'Hmm.'

I follow him out to the car, which drives us to a suburban street. There are rows of semi-detached houses all lined up with hedges in the front.

'Looks like privet drive from Harry Potter.' I say quietly.

'You watch too many films Alexis.' Axcel says, getting out of the car.

The driver opens my door and I step out. I look behind us to see another car, filled with four of those weird, quiet burly men.

They step out and join us on the pavement.

'Why are we here?' I whisper at Axcel as he leads us down the street.

'Because some guy borrowed money from us and didn't give it back.'

'Why have we got to get him to give it back? Can't we just send other people to do it?'

'Sometimes, it's just better when you do a job yourself.'

'Okay.' I say.

I'm not sure if I'm entirely convinced with his reasoning but I haven't got anything better to do so...
