"Alyssa darling are you awake?" It was half 6 in the evening of course I was awake. I was sat on my bed browsing through Facebook on my laptop when I heard my Mother tap on my bedroom door. I let out a little sigh glancing at the door "Alyssa"

I close down Facebook and my laptop then jumped off my bed and head for the bedroom door. I wrap my fingers around the handle and pulled the door open "Yes I'm awake"

"Oh good sweetheart you coming with Arista and me to the Brannings today?" The Brannings being Arista's fiancée's parents "They haven't seen you in a while"

"Do I look like I'd be coming with you?" I say walking pass her and down the hall to the stairs "I'm going with Jessica to her Mums friend's wedding"

"Dressed like that?" I stopped in the kitchen and looked down at my outfit. I thought it looked fine. I was wearing a peach colour dress that came mid-thigh and a white cardigan with a pair of silver strapped heels, she should be glad I didn't choose the really short purple one I was going to wear. If Jessica wasn't wearing a purple dress then I would have worn it.

"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" I ask raising my eye brow.

"You look like you've just come out of a brothel" Arista comments walking into the kitchen.

"Oh gee thanks sis for the family love" I respond sarcastically "It's much appreciated"

"Alyssa you can't be serious about wearing that?" I turn back to my Mum and roll my eyes when I heard a honk of a car from outside.

"Looks like I am" I grab my white shoulder bag from the counter "Don't wait up for me. Bye" I skip down the hall hearing My Mum and Arista talking.

"I wish she would just let the wall break already" Mum cried to Arista.

"She's not ready Mum, but when she is we'll be here for her" I let out a sad sigh as I opened the front door to see Tommy Jessica's brother outside in his car. I shake off the sadness and run down the path and hop into the car.

"Hey Jess" I smile at her as Tommy starts the car back up driving round the corner "Let the party begin"

Tommy dropped us off outside the hall. Jessica put her shoes on and grabbed her bag from the floor. We linked arms and headed into the venue. I looked around to see a bunch of people I didn't recognise. Jessica told me she was going to say hello to her ex boyfriend George. I nodded and headed for the bar ordering a vodka and coke. I showed the bar guy my id and he smiled at me nodding to make my drink.

"Who would have known I'd see you again" I heard that voice. It was the voice from last night. I turn my head to the side to see Jason standing there with a smile on his face "Hello again Princess"

"Hello Green eyes" I reply as the bar guy who's name badge said Stuart put my drink down in front of me.

"That'll be £3.60"

"I'll get that and another coke" Stuart took the money from Jason and gave him the change.

"Friend or family?" I ask nodding to Lucy who I've known ever since I've been friends with Jessica.

"Family" He says taking a sip of his drink once Stuart put it down in front of him "And since you're not family I'm guessing friend"

"Friend of a friend" I reply leaning back against the bar looking around.

A few drinks and about 10 shots later I was drunk. Not drunk enough to make a fool of myself, but drunk enough to know to stop. I sat in the corner on a small stool with my head between my legs. Jessica came to check on me then went back to her guy of the night. I learned to control my drinking at Maggie's party all those weeks ago. Even though I get myself drunk I know when I should stop so I don't pass out on the floor and then see the video on YouTube the next morning. That wasn't what I wanted.
