25. Jason

"So she said she'll come?" Rebecca asks as we walk into the third dress shop in town. After Alyssa went home Rebecca asked me to come pick her up since the guy she met with had to rush off home. Rebecca went through the rack of clothes as she held up dresses to her body and checked herself out in the mirrors. Her parents are wayyy too soft on her.

I plonk myself down in one of the plush arm chairs and look through my Facebook news feed "Yeah she said she'll come with"

"Well that's good no?" She asks walking into a changing room with arms full of clothes.

"You do realise there are so many hours in a day right Beck" She stuck her head out and rolled her eyes at me "we're half way through the day now and the family thing is in less than 3 hours"

"Yeah yeah Jas" She waved me off going back into the dressing room to change into the dresses.

Half hour later Rebecca walks out of the changing room with 5 hangers and 5 different shoes. Wow this girl really does know how to shop. She stalks over to me with a huge smile on her face "Come on Jas I'm ready" He drags me up and we head for the cashier.

"So is Alyssa meeting us there or you picking her up?" Rebecca asks as she pays for her clothes.

"Erm... I think..." I stopped for a moment when I felt my phone beep in my pocket to see Alyssa had sent me a message "Hold that thought Becks" She smiled at me and then walked out of the store I followed her out opening my message.

Hey Green Eyes change of plans. I'm going to drive myself tonight. Meet you and Rebecca there okay. A x

I suddenly felt a pang of disappointment run through my body as I read her message over twice before thinking up a reply.

Oh okay, I'll text you the restaurant name. See you at 8:00. J x

Okay. A x

Came her quick reply.

"So Allie is meeting us at the restaurant" I announce to Rebecca as we walk to my car "Can we go home now?"

"Sure thing Jas" She replies stopping at the boot of my car "Now pop the trunk these bags are heavy" I roll my eyes and press the button on my keys "Thanks"

"No problem Becks, now hurry up we have to go get ready for tonight" I get into the car and wait for her to get in to before I head back to my place.

"Jason Hopkins in the flesh once again" Clover says as she and Mattie walk across the road and over to me outside the restaurant "And there's me thinking we'd never see you again"

"I nearly forgot how dramatic you were Clo" She laughs as I hug her and bump fists with Mattie "I wasn't that bad was I?"

"You were worse dude" Mattie comments getting a punch on the shoulder from me "Ouch... no need for violence bro"

"You deserved it" I smiled looking out at the road for Alyssa to turn up. It was nearly eight o'clock and Alyssa still hadn't shown up. My parents cancelled because of a meeting so it was just the said kids of the family that were going to be there tonight. Kids meaning me, Rebecca, Mattie and his girlfriend and the others were out of the country on business trips.

"Well I was just saying Jas... The mood you were in sucked and I'm glad you're out of it" Clover smiles at me and I nod. I didn't know I was that bad when Alyssa stopped talking to me. I mean I nearly slept with Amy the night I went to the bar. After seeing Alyssa and that guy together I freaked out and flipped out, but then on her birthday she turns up and now I have her back. I wasn't going to mess up again.
