29. Jason

I put the key in the lock and slowly open the front door to my house. It was eerily quiet so I stepped inside looking at my watch it was nearly quarter to 9. The sun had gone down about an hour and a half ago. I walked into the kitchen and placed the bags on the counter as I started to put things away. 

"Oh crap" I instantly turned around and saw Alyssa about to walk in the kitchen "your back already; there goes my plan of sneaking my other boyfriend out before you came back" 

"Oh so now I'm going prison for killing said boyfriend" I playfully sigh as she giggles "Oh don't giggle just yet Princess I think we'll join cop cars since you would have killed that chick I was with before coming here" Her giggle turned into a hard glare as she walked pass me and to the fridge taking out two bottles of water "Someone thirsty?" I ask walking towards her putting the milk in the fridge then kissing her cheek.

She smiled at that gesture and then shook her head "Nah these are for Jess" She states "She's going through something right now and she gets the hiccups when she cries too much" I nod putting the bags away and walking around the island standing behind her wrapping my arms around her waist.

"She can stay here tonight if she doesn't wanna drive back" 

Alyssa turned around in my arms and wrapped her arms around my neck with a smile on her face. I like seeing her happy. It makes me happy "Really?" I nod and she kisses me lightly before pulling back and looking into my eyes "Thank you Jason"

"For what?" 

"Everything" And then with that she turns back around and lightly jogs out of the kitchen and out of sight. 

I've fallen hard... Real hard

"Are you sure Jason doesn't mind?" I heard Jessica ask Alyssa as I walked up to my room. They were sitting on my now tissue covered bed with bowls of mini chocolate chip ice-cream and sappy movie cases everywhere. It was sure a sight I wasn't sure any guy should see. 

"Of course I'm sure Jess" Alyssa replies looking up when I push the door open "You don't mind do you Green Eyes?" 

"Of course I don't" I smile at both of them as I walk into my room and grab some of my stuff for uni tomorrow. I then walk to the bed and kiss Alyssa good night "Okay girls you two stay in here, the bed was changed this morning. I'll see you tomorrow and I'll drop both of you off okay" They both nodded as I left the room. I knew Alyssa couldn't be mad at Jess for too long. 

The next morning I climbed out of bed got washed and dressed and headed down the stairs to the kitchen to find Jessica and Alyssa both laughing eating pancakes. Jessica looked better today than she did last night. 

"Before you ask yes I made you some" Alyssa says nodding to the plate on the island "Banana flavour just how my baby likes it"

"Aww thank you Prin..." Before I could finish that sentence Jessica let out a small grasp. 

"You guys are together?" Alyssa and I both nodded with smiles on our faces and I kissed her cheek. Jessica then made a funny face and her hand shot up to her mouth as she stood up "Oh god I think I'm going to be sick" she yelled running out of the kitchen and to the bathroom.

"Oh well that says something about our relationship" I huffed putting a bite of pancake into my mouth.

"Nah Green Eyes that isn't because of us being together... Jessica just isn't doing too good right now" She tells me finishing her pancake and taking the plate to the dishwasher. 

After 30 minutes of us eating and Jessica throwing up we headed to my car so I could drop them off before heading to uni. I park up just outside and let them out. 

"Oi where do you think you're going without a kiss goodbye" I pout making Alyssa laugh with a playful roll of her gorgeous eyes. She sighed walking over to the car and bending down leaving a lingering kiss on my lips "See you after school" She looked at Jessica and then back to me and kissed me again "I can't today Green Eyes, but pick me up tomorrow before school at my place" I nod giving them both a wave then heading off to uni.

My phone buzzed alerting me that I have a new text message. I pulled out my phone and saw Alyssa's name on my screen; a smile instantly formed on my lips. Was I missing her already.

God Jason dude your whipped. So whipped.

My inner self stated with a slight chuckle. I try pushing those thoughts away and slide the screen across having her message come to view.

I'm bored... Need entertaining. Come save me. A x

I laughed at that. Letting out a proper chuckle. I could feel eyes on me, but I didn't care. I looked back down at the message and read it over again. Alyssa always makes me laugh. Her sarcastic antics and when she becomes all annoyed.

Jason you're falling bad man... Hold on to something before you slip through her hands.

Oh shut it conscious always talking when I don't want you to.

Oh great so now I'm talking to my damn self. Christ... Alyssa has a way to much of a hold over me, but I like it. I like to feel for someone again. I text Alyssa back.

I'm sorry Princess, but I have an assignment to give in. Rain check? J x

But I'm bored Green Eyes... Just watching a trial video... Yawnful much A x

I could literally see a pout form on her mouth as she wrote that text back to me. I laughed again reading her message.  

"Hey man" I was currently at the student bar looking over my assignment I was given Friday. I managed to finish it properly last night while Alyssa was with Jessica. I look up and see Ryan and Tyler the Hunter brothers. We have been friends since I can remember. Our families are close. 

"Hey guys" I put my assignment down on the desk and take a sip of my orange juice "What's up?" 

My phone buzzed again. I looked from the guys and down at my phone again seeing her name pop up again.

Okay fine don't come save me. Just don't expect any kisses from me tomorrow morning *Pokes tongue at you. A x

I laughed again and shook my head putting my phone back in my pocket as Ryan and Tyler both sat down leaning back in the chairs "Not much dude. We heard you and that girl from the wedding have been hooking up?" And how did they know that? Maybe Mattie told them... Speaking of Mattie where was he and Clover? "Amy told us man" Ryan answered my unasked question. I just nodded, of course Amy wants to get up in my business like usual. 

That girl is always jealous of me with another female. Well I guess she's going to hit the roof when she finds out that Alyssa is now my girlfriend. Actually wait... That could be very bad. Amy is conniving; she could do anything to rip Alyssa from me and I didn't want that. I never want that. 

Crap think Jason... Think, but I couldn't and I knew I was screwed, so might as well get it over with right... 

Wrong Jason and you know it dude. 

I tried ignore my inner voice, but I knew he was right. He was always right, yet I choose to ignore him most of the time. No logic there right? 

"Alyssa isn't just a hook up guys, she used to be, but now she's my girlfriend so Amy can fuck right off" And I knew that was going to get back to my ex girlfriend and properly by the end of the day too. I guess I better sleep with one eye open today.
