2 weeks later and school is starting tomorrow. I wasn't looking forward to it one bit. Everyone giving me those pity looks. The teachers giving me special treatment just to ease my time at school. I don't want it. I want to be treated like a normal person. I don't want the pity and I sure as hell don't want the special treatment.

I was in my room sitting at my desk on my laptop when I heard a faint knock on my bedroom door "Alyssa! Scottie is here to see you" Came Mums voice. I smiled at that closing down my laptop and pushing it back further on the desk I stand up and shuffle on a small jean jacket and head down the hall to the stairs. I could hear voices coming from the living room so I make my way there.

As soon as I walk into the room I saw Scottie sitting on the sofa opposite Mother smiling and chatting away until he catches my eye "Hey freckles" He stands up and greets me

"Hey Scottie" I reply not being able to keep the smile from my lips "I didn't know you were coming?"

"Neither did I until I turned into your drive way" He says sheepishly. Scottie and I have been hanging out for a while now. His family and mine have gotten even closer so it's not like I can avoid him much when his literally over my house all the time "I know you have school and stuff tomorrow, but I was thinking maybe we could hang out today"

"Erm okay sure" I agree seeing my mum eyeing us and smiling. I roll my eyes at her and nod to the hall. Scottie catches on and followed me out into the hall "Sorry Mum is being her usual meddling self"

"Oh don't worry about it" He waves it off taking a seat at the island "My Mum has been hovering around me all weekend apparently we're perfect together"

I wrap my fingers around the coffee pot handle and bring it to the island grabbing two mugs from the top cabinet "So we're together now?" I kink my eye brow up and he looks at me sheepishly.

"Well no we're not, but I've liked spending time with you" A small blush crept up his cheeks and I smile at how cute he looked.

"Red suits your skin tone" I tease turning and putting the coffee pot back in its place. I then stood beside the island and sipped at my mug "Still wanna pick me up from school tomorrow?"

"Of course. I have a surprise for you anyway" He gives me a wink and smiles looking over the rim of his mug.

"A surprise?" Both eye brows raised. I dropped up on the island and swung my legs around so they were either side of Scottie. His eyes widened at how close I now was. I scooted a little closer so I was basically in front of him on the island counter "What's this surprise?" I barely whispered moving my face closer to his "You know just so I know how to dress tomorrow"

Scottie moved his face closer until he was inches from my lips before a small smirked crawled across his lips "Nice try Freckles, but flirting your surprise out of me wasn't going to work" He then pulled back his chair and downed the rest of his coffee "I'll see you after school Lyssa" He then gave me a wink and exited the kitchen. I heard a few voices and then the front door open and close.

Shit what the hell was happening?

I was stood on Jason's porch. I had to tell him something, but I wasn't sure of this was the right time or if I was over thinking the situation. I mean I haven't really seen or spoken to him in a few weeks. The last time I saw Jason was the day after Camie's wedding and that was three weeks ago from today. I've been putting on fake smiles and convinced everyone around me that I was fine the past 3 weeks. Even this morning having a visit from Scottie I had to fake being happy, but the truth is I'm late... Like 4 days late on my period and I'm scared to death.
