20. Jason

"Why did she think I was your girlfriend?" Rebecca asks as she climbed into my car.

I didn't know how to answer that question because I didn't know myself. Maybe she wanted me to come to see her. Too many mixed signals coming from Alyssa. I didn't know if I was coming or going. She didn't even react to the fact that Rebecca was revealing my mopping around because she hadn't been in contact.

You had Jessica who was trying to get more out of Rebecca when Alyssa was acting like she didn't even care. I know the pregnancy scare freaked her out, but ignoring me is a whole new level for sure.

"I don't know Beck, I don't think we put out there that you're my cousin" She laughed clicking in her seat belt, but making herself comfortable in the passenger seat.

"But didn't she go to the wedding of Aunt Lucy"

"Yeah, but you went home sick remember... She wouldn't have seen you" Rebecca nodded pulling down the mirror to check herself "So anyway how long you staying with me?"

"Well Mum and Andy are away for 4 months so I was hoping I could stay until I graduate college then I'm moving away for uni"

"Sure thing... Camie set up everything you need in the attached apartment to my house" She nodded and I could see the excitement in her face. When Camie and I moved in we got a separate apartment made on the side of the house, it was Camie's idea. Turned out to be a good place to get away from her when she annoyed me.

"You have your own of everything in there... Even a bathroom" Camie got that put it a few months before she moved out and in with Jayden. It turned out to be useful for when they did spend their time in there.

"You seriously are the best Jas" She leaned in and kissed me on the cheek as I pulled into the gates of my house.

"Your back very soon Mr Hopkins" Jasper the gate guy calls into me "Would you like me to take your car round back" I opened the door to my car and signalled for Rebecca to climb out of the car which she does taking her bag with her.

"That would be great off you Jasper and could you see that Rebecca's bags go to the pent house please"

Jasper nodded "Of course sir" I don't usually use Jasper, but recently apparently I've been mopping around so his had to come in useful which he has.

"Thank you Jasper" He gave me a soft smile "Come Beck I'll show you around. I didn't realise you were going straight to college from the hotel today"

"Oh yeah sorry about that. Mum enrolled me and she told me to come today so I could collect everything and then I kept getting lost and finally when I made it out I spotted you" She explained as she walked in through the front door "Sorry if I interrupted you and Alyssa talking"

Alyssa... I have no idea what is going on with us. Wait there is no us. I'm confused. The Alyssa topic doesn't need to come up. It just confuses me even more. I don't want to be confused.

"So through the pantry is the kitchen, up the stairs are the rooms and the game room is the last room on the left and the movie theatre is opposite it" I point to all the areas I was telling her about "Jasper would have put your things in your room. So enjoy your time in Sutton Beck" She smiled giving me a little wink "Outside round the corner is where you'll be staying... I have uni 3 days a week so I'll be around okay" She nodded a smile still plastered on her face "So have friends round, have parties just make sure to tell me so I'm not surprised... Deal"

"Deal" She nods skipping away from me to go to the pent house.
