Regulus, though a death eater, he continued to fight for James, and he even fought for him until death. He thought James would be proud, nothing more shouts James Potter than dying to defeat Voldemort. It's quite funny actually, his heart finally stopped, but he wished it didn't, as he never got his final goodbye to his first and final love.
