In the moment everything felt sped up. I still remember it so vividly, how could I forget it? What happened after my mom had died was a lot more memorable that's for sure. Sometimes I regret killing her. But in the end it would've been better that way. Much, much better.

!!WARNING:GORE!!

The woman was now shot. Twice. Both shots had hit her in the chest, one on each side of her chest. She slid down on the dumpster a bit as the splattered blood was smeared by her back. Blood gushed out of her wounds as her lungs bled internally. Her white dress now stained a deep crimson. She looked at Alex silently. Pleading. Begging. Praying. She clearly didn't want to die yet, her life fading out of her eyes slowly and steadily. She didn't say a word. Blood ran down her arm and into one hand which was on the ground. It pooled inside her palm and spilled out on the ground. The boy stood there as the silence was more than settled into the heavy, humid air. Nobody was around to hear the gunshots. Nobody was here to see the crime he had just committed. He didn't realize what he had done quite yet though. The heavy metallic aroma of the blood had flowed into his direction. It kicked up his adrenaline, and it was addicting. He wanted more. He craved more. He watched as the woman in front of him slowly died. She muttered words, trying desperately to tell him something. Before she stopped, he had crouched down in front of her and listened. He heard her faint voice saying these words specifically. "You'll be found.. you'll get caught.. you useless fucking child.."

He was indeed hurt by these words. They stabbed him like sharp daggers. But he hadn't wiped that murderous and purely evil smile off his face just yet. He looked her in her now grayish emerald eyes. He moved his hair to show his face and grabbed her by the jaw. He wanted her to see him, to hear him, to know he had a voice despite her belief. "You can't hurt me anymore. I'm the only one who can harm me now lady. Good luck in hell." He said quietly. He made sure not to break eye contact the whole time. She was visibly growing weaker by the second, so he let her go and stood back up. He loomed over her figure as she bled more and more. Her body was shutting down. The lead in the bullets was starting to poison her blood which still flowed steadily out of her chest and onto the ground. Onto her body. This woman who was so full of life and compassion to others looked like a complete stranger. The blood loss had drained her face of color, her eyes starting to close from the weakness of her muscles. She hung her head as she bled out. The boy threw the gun in the dumpster inside a box of junk. He took a match from inside his pockets and his gloves, taking off the gloves and burning them. He liked them, but he had to get rid of them for his own sake. But before he did this he had dragged her body into the dumpster as well.

Just another night in Vegas.

Little to Alex's knowledge, people die a lot in Nevada. Most of the time people shrug it off if the person isn't important. He was still scared of being caught, but walking back to the casino he resided in, he didn't feel scared. He felt powerful. Yes he was shaking a bit after the shock of killing someone, but overall he felt.. good. He got that his answers. The ones that he wanted so bad. Yes, it didn't end up that well for the other person, but it still ended. Once and for all. He still had his dad to worry about, but he shouldn't be too much of a hassle if he catches the man off guard. Alex continued to walk until he came back to the casino. He went back inside and made his way over to his hideout inside the place, taking his coat and sweater off. He folded them neatly, now just in a tank top. He looked down at his arms, gray. Why was he still gray?? Shouldn't whatever made him this way wear off by now? He didn't pay too much attention to it but he sure as hell didn't like it. He'll get used to the change though. Eventually.

Then the janitor guy walked over. "There you are! Did everything go ok?" They asked with worry. Alex looked at them and nodded. His expression was dead and emotionless as per usual. The person hadn't paid attention to him not being in his usual sweater, or at least they hadn't said anything. Maybe they thought something was up but they were too nice to say anything to Alex, who knows. Before I digressed-- they sighed in relief and their shoulders slacked a bit. "Ok, good. I don't want you to be getting hurt here in Vegas. It's a dangerous place after all." They said half to themself. Alex listened and acknowledged what they were saying as to not be rude. He liked this guy, along with the other people at the casino. He knew he couldn't stay here anymore though. Not for a long time anyways. After what he had done, he would need to go far away. He can't get caught for murdering his mom, not at this age. Too soon-- too soon. After the janitor guy had left to do whatever janitors do, Alex decided that it's a little late, and he should get some rest. He needs it after what he had done. One thing remained in his head though, after settling down and getting comfortable and ready to get some rest, that one thing buzzed louder than the gunshots in his mind and jabbed at him. It kept him awake for a good hour or two. And it was just one damn question.

What if someone finds out he killed his mom?
