...
For the next week or so, Sarah had a secret admirer. Well, she knew he existed of course, she just didn't know that he was stalking her and watching her every move. Like she had done to him. She could barely sleep at night because she was afraid he would break in and try to kill her, she always carried a knife with her just in case she ran into him and he tried to attack her. She kept as close of an eye as possible on her cameras, yet she couldn't see jack shit to decide whether or not the man was actually following her or not. She tried to outsmart him and catch him off guard, to get people to track him down and others to protect her, nothing worked. And right when she had given up and said to herself, "I'm just going crazy. There's no way in hell he's actually following me"..
She caught him.
She was out late at night, going for a walk to tire herself out. She couldn't sleep that night worth a damn, and what was about to happen in a couple seconds isn't gonna help. She passed by a slightly familiar and shadowed figure in the night, only for the man to grab her by the arm. She screamed in alarm, trying to get him off. He grabbed her by the shoulders, oushing her towards a nearby light. He loomed over her, his face completely shadowed and unrecognizable in the shadows. "Sarah! Finally! I've been wanting to talk to you." He said, something about his voice was off. A welcoming voice, but also a crazed one. "Get off me! I don't even know who you are!" She pancked trying desperately to get the iron grip off her arms. Then a car passed by, the headlights illuminating his face.
His wide, tired, and crazy eyes and ginger hair gave away who he was right then and there. "Alex?" She felt her heart drop, all the way to hell and back. He nodded, his grip loosening to pull her into a hug. He, at least, felt happy. He felt very happy, actually. Stockholm syndrome, am I right? Now on the other hand, Sarah hated this. She felt unsafe now that she had a wanted criminal on her hands, but then again.. he could serve as good protection. At least she doesn't have to worry about him killing her, right? Or maybe this is a trick. Maybe he's doing this to gain her trust just to he can brutalize her. Oh hell no! She shoved the other away, her face filled with fear and defensive anger. "Get away, I-I know what you've done! You c-can't pull one over me!" She exclaimed, her fear only growing worse and worse.
"What? You saw? How??" He asked, completely oblivious to the fact that he was on the news. Upon closer inspection, he looked ten times more crazy than the last time Sarah saw him. His hair was just messily kept in a ponytail, his eyes even more crazed, his teeth were sharp and his hands were covered in fresh, you heard me, fresh blood. He even had a bit of blood that clearly wasn't his own dripping from his lower lip. He took a step towards her, she took a step back. "Don't get a-any closer.." She warned, slowly reaching for her knife. "Why? Isn't this what you wanted me to do? Didn't I have to prove myself worthy of you?" He questioned, backing her against the pole. He grabbed her by the shoulders eventually, staring her dead in the eyes. "Was I not good enough? Do I need to do more to prove how much I love you? Do I?!" He asked, his tone gradually getting louder and more aggressive. She was frozen in place with fear, not giving any sort of answer. Oh how the tables have turned, yeah?
"Was all that just for nothing?! I can't fix this?! I CAN'T BE ENOUGH FOR YOU?!?" He yelled, his psychotic rage at it's worst. "Quiet! Please..!" She yelled, her tone getting quiet almost immediately though. Alex froze, his rage turning to depression. "I did this all for you. Do you still not love me..?" He said, his voice almost a whisper now. She thought for a while about the pros and cons that came with each answer, seeing the tears in Alex's traumatized eyes, she knew he was genuine. She decided what the hell, the extra protection couldn't hurt much now could it? Leaning forward and giving the man a hug, she felt his hands loosen immediately. "I'm so sorry I ever hurt you, I won't ever do it again. I feel so bad for what I've done.." She whispered, she started to cry herself. The reek of the blood on Alex's hands and face wasn't a nice thing either might I add.
He only kept her in his arms, rubbing her back and giving her kisses on the head, just showing his affection. A lot more affection than he's ever shown before. She couldn't see it, but the man had a smile on his face. After years of being unable to do so, he finally smiles. But his smile looked forced and unnatural, so maybe it was better that she didn't see it. Without any warning, he proudly swept her off her feet and carried her home. She didn't like this, something in her stomach didn't sit right at all. But she didn't protest. She just let him carry her all the way back home, inside, and to her bedroom. He tried to go back to how they were, before Tanya died of course. Just all lovey dovey, spending every moment possible together.
After getting cleaned up and everything, the big murderous psycho crawled on top of the girl who was laying on the bed, playing on her phone. He peered past the device and at her face."Heyyyyy, put your phone away it's time for bed." He said, his voice deeper and more cryptid than how she last remembered. He lazily laid his head on her chest, big puppy dog eyes staring up at her. "Fine." She said, putting the phone on the nightstand. He made that one happy face and tried to lower her hood to run his fingers through her hair. He was met with a hand gripping his wrist though. "Hood stays up." She put his wrist down, putting a hand on his back. She could feel the bandages on his back from the last time she stabbed him, some sort of pain stabbed her back, but instead of her back, it stabbed her in the chest. She gently ran her hand along the bandages. "I'm so sorry.." She whispered. "It's ok. I love you." Alex responded in some sort of daze or trance. Either he was on drugs or this wasn't Alex, because he wasn't acting like he had just gone through hell with her for months.
Or maybe it's the blood that has him high.
