I'm not telling you any more-- You don't need to know anything. It's all gonna be a secret for me and me only so only I have to live with my problems and you don't. That's the way it's gonna be and you can't change that. No more life story or nothin', just me and my thoughts. You aren't allowed in them. Haha! All by myself so only I have to worry about me!
The day was slightly different than most, Tanya-- Sarah's roommate-- was nowhere to be found. Usually when Sarah leaves she emerges from her room, maybe she just slept in today. The boy shrugged it off quite easily, grabbing the TV remote and turning a show on. He was bored again, still recovering from the whole serotonin rush. As the sounds of the TV blended with his thoughts and the muscles in his body relaxed, noticed something. He had this gut feeling about something, something subtle yet important. He stood up off the couch and walked cautiously to the kitchen.
He fumbled with his hands as he approached that room, yes that room, and opened the door. He remembered which side the knives were on, so he found the switch rather easily. He saw as the multiple firearms and weapons in the room gleamed in the light. He was looking for a specific one however, the revolver that had been mounted inside a case neatly on the wall. He saw the case, however he didn't see the gun. Until he had looked down of course, seeing that the revolver was on the floor. The case was also wide open. Maybe that bang from the night before was just it falling out?
He reached down for the gun, his body itching to get closer and grab it already. "What do you think you're doing?!" A voice, cold and frightening, rung out from behind him. Damnit! He whipped around in the blink of an eye, his own eyes widened in fear. "I-I was just putting it b-back!" He explained in a distressed tone. He wasn't intending on using the gun, but he did make it look like he was somehow.
In a flash the person, Tanya, had been revealed by reaching over and grabbing the gun from him. She had quickly put it back into the display case, glaring suspiciously down at the boy. "What were you doing handling a gun like that? Never put your finger over the trigger if you're not planning on shooting the damn thing." She scolded. It didn't sound much like scolding though, she sounded like she was teaching him something actually. It was odd to say the least.
All he could do was nod in response. Taking in her advice. She had sighed deeply, turning and walking out of the room, trying to push Alex out of the room as well as she went. Yeah it's probably best if he went out with her anyways. Don't want something bad to happen now do we? He shut the door behind them both, his head hung in shame and his footsteps dragging along the tiled floor. Tanya had walked off to do something somewhere else, so now he was just alone in the room again.
Fun.
The boy hated being left alone despite being so used to it. Lately he's had a taste for affection because he's been getting it for once in his life. It was such an addicting thing, it played a melody in his head whenever he got it instead of the harsh sounds that were a result of how he felt when he was starved of it. The soft and welcoming embrace of another was so much better than the cold and spiteful glares and words he was used to. He thought quite frequently about how he was treated as a child, which made him upset more often but also all the more grateful for what he has now...
[Time skip to 2 weeks later..]
Two weeks have practically flown by. In that time everything has been pure bliss. Only a few days ago our dear boy had asked Sarah out on a date, and she accepted! It went really well too! The two went to see a movie, and then they took a walk in the park. When they got home Sarah had made dinner with Alex, he's not very experienced in cooking so he needed a little help. But the whole day and night for that matter was amazing. The days afterwards have been the best days of the boy's life too. He felt so happy just in Sarah's presence, let alone interacting with her.
Today however was an.. eventful day to say the least.
As the days went by, our dear boy has found that his life was starting to play out like some romance movie. He couldn't go day by day without thinking of Sarah, everything he did was for her, if he wanted to do something it always had to do with her. He just couldn't escape the pit that he's dug already. He couldn't think about normal things much anymore, which led to him trying to escape it now and then because of the plain and simple fact that he just wasn't used to it.
He tried going out and doing things alone, he even robbed a few people. Using that very same revolver that was hung up on the wall. Nobody knew that he used it. He always used the gun in secret so Tanya wouldn't get angry with him. But alas, with many attempts, he just couldn't not think about her. Damnit. Today instead of trying to escape while he still could, he just indulged. He let himself obsess today, spending all of his time possible with the girl. It played out like this. Well, it played out normally at first. He woke up, got himself breakfast, went and showered, that kinda stuff. He was looking in the mirror after brushing his teeth when Sarah had walked in. The door was wide open so whatever.
He had been looking at his teeth, his fangs bared for the whole world to see. His teeth had been getting awfully sharp lately, he didn't know why they did that. The girl who had previously walked in came up behind him and hugged him. "Hi Alex." She said, a weary tone rumbling out of her soft voice. Her face was sunken into the boy's back, her arms tightly fixed around his waist as well. He had looked around upon the contact, his gray eyes staring down at her. "Heyy." He said in response. He still sounded a bit tired himself, not as much as his partner though.
"Why are you up so early?" "I was up before the sun, love." "Were you? How come?" "Bad dream." The two spoke to each other. Sarah had nodded slightly in acknowledgement, letting go of the boy finally and standing beside him. She grabbed her hairbrush and stared at the mirror, watching as Alex looked again at how unusually sharp his teeth were. "I never knew your teeth were like that!" She said in a surprised tone. It wasn't as enthusiastic as usual though. "Me neither." He answered, finally stopping and glancing at the shorter girl beside him for a moment. She was shorter than usual, or maybe he was just taller than usual. Who knows.
"By the way, I have to ask you something." She had spoke, her gaze trailing up to meet Alex's eyes. "Yes?" He said in response. Her question then arose into the air, the question being..
