...
The next few weeks were bliss for this man. He robbed a bank or two to keep up rent, he generally could get more things for himself with the stolen money, and just had fun. Elaine would come over now and again and screw around with him on his bad days, but that never helped. All she wants is to get in his pants, and he doesn't appreciate that much. Because for once in his life, he sees more value in himself than his looks. His muscular body and fluffy hair, his deep rumbly voice and strong hands aren't all there is to this guy. Sure he's looking better generally now that he's away from that job, but he doesn't care. Even if he wasn't attractive, he still thinks that he's beautiful. And that he can be better than everyone around him.
Though.. not all things last forever.
One day, Elaine had come over to Alex's place. She was carrying a bag, like usual. The two hung out like they usually would, Elaine being all flirty and all over Alex while Alex was awkward and uncomfortable. At some point she left to use the bathroom, but she was there for an oddly long period of time. Alex didn't really mind, but it was a bit suspicious. He was sitting on the couch, he looked pretty comfortable where he was. Then, Elaine walks in. "Hey Al, I got some news, and I don't know if you'll be happy about it but promise me you won't be mad and lash out on me. Okay?" She said, sounding rather serious.
Alex raised a brow, silently waiting for her to continue. He hadn't made any promises, just a silent stare. "I know we've kinda been doing stuff for a bit now, and uhh.." She said, her voice trailing off. She lifted up the small white object in her hands, it looked to be a stick of some sort. "What's that?" Alex asked, getting a little uneasy and on edge. "It's a pregnancy test, Al." She said. His heart plummeted to the deepest pits of hell in that moment. The girl walked over and sat down next to him, showing the positive result on the stick. He stared, unsure how to feel. How to react, how to think. But none of it was positive at all. He didn't want the responsibility of a kid.
Especially when he never even consented to making it in the first place.
"Well, what are you thinkin'?" She asked, seemingly scared. Though she's right to feel fear right now. "Let me get this straight." He said, standing up, and moving over to stand in front of her. "You come into my life over a failed suicide, fuck me without even making sure I was okay with it-- which by the way I wasn't! And then you expect me to be okay with you being pregnant? You think I want a kid? You think I even wanted to come close to having a kid in the first place?!" His tone got progressively more aggressive, the man was starting to have another meltdown slowly. "Hey! My mom didn't want me either, but she still had me and I turned out to be--" "A useless skank. Get the fuck out of my apartment, go rape some other dude." He snarled, fuming. She looked up at him with pain and fear, at a loss for words. "I said.." He reached for his gun, aiming it at her. "Get the fuck out." She stood up, however a defiant look came onto her face. Overtaking any fear she previously had.
"Why won't you just give it a chance Al?! This is a human being we're talking about, one you helped make!" She yelled, also becoming more and more frustrated. The man grabbed her by the arm and dragged her thrashing and defiant ass out of the door, giving her a nice throw across the pavement. She jumped up again however, going to run back to him. She was shoved away rather quickly, being kicked down to the ground. "Do not step foot near me or my home again, you hear me?! I don't want you--" He paused, aiming the gun down to her stomach and shooting her twice. "Or that fucking child you were gonna have in my life ever again."
!! WARNING: GORE !!
She cried in pain as her stomach bled, spurts of blood staining her shirt, and then the ground. "Al-- don't do this to me! Please! I have a life I wanna live, I have things I wanna do! You can't do this, please! Let me live!" She pleaded through tears and pain. Her body writhing under the boot that was placed firmly on her stomach right then. Thus multiplying her pain. He pressed down harder to watch the blood squirt out of her flesh a bit, aiming the gun a little higher at her head. She gave him a terrified look, screaming for mercy. But it was far too late, the damage was already done! She had already made so many mistakes, mistakes that couldn't be forgiven. He rolled the cylinder out of the gun, funnily enough it was empty.
"One second." He took some bullets from his pocket, loading his gun as slowly as possible. Keeping his weight pressed on Elaine's stomach to prevent her from moving. She kept begging, desperation flooding every sense she had. Mercy was the only thing she asked for, but the moment the gun fired and pierced through her skull was the moment she got her answer. No. Her head had a chunk removed, the chunk in question had been splattered all over the cement. He kicked her body down the stairs to the apartment, because there was an area made of cement where people could walk to their apartments on that floor. Her body tumbled down the steps, the insides of her head trailing all over the stairs as she hit each one. That would be one hell of a thing to slip on.

Alex turned and walked back inside his apartment, going back to his business as usual. He just ended two lives simultaneously today, he felt good about that, He felt good that Elaine was gone for good, and that he wasn't the one who had to clean up her remains. Because he lives in Nevada, nobody is going to call the police. Nobody is going to try and have the murderer arrested, especially not in this neighborhood. He'll just get away scot free like every time he commits a crime, just like all the others. He had walked back to his couch, blood on his pants and shoes, hands behind his head as he relaxed where he was. Finally, he can have his peace back.
For now.
