it was another saturday night that minho was taking the bus home. he often worked late shifts because he found it easier to stay up late than to wake up early. it probably wasn't the best mindset, but it got him through his shifts.

the bus was more crowded than usual that night. spring break was ending, so a lot of people were trying to finish the week with a bang. minho didn't mind other than the fact that he was a little squished.

normally, he'd have a seat to himself, but now there were people all around him. luckily he hadn't gotten stuck next to some old man who snores or a high school girl dead set on flirting with him. instead, he was sat next to a blond boy.

he'd seen the boy many times before, as they took the same route; minho always got off before him, though. the boy was listening to music and looking out the window. minho studied his face for a minute, admiring the young man's freckles and plush lips. then, he decided to rest his eyes.

he'd taken his friends shift, doubling his time at the shop. it was early on the route and minho expected to wake up before his stop, but he was wrong. he fell asleep quickly and only woke when he felt someone shaking his shoulder.

he opened his eyes and looked over, seeing the blond boy, who'd taken his headphones out.

"this is your stop."

minho blinked blearily at the boy, surprised by his deep—very attractive—voice. he nodded and quietly thanked him before standing up to wait at the door. as he got off, he looked back at the boy he'd sat next to. he'd put his headphones back in, but was looking at minho. they both smiled and went on their way.

it was monday and minho was exhausted. once again, he was on his bus past midnight and struggling to keep his eyes open. moreover, one of the buses had stopped running so more people were on his. meaning he didn't have a place to sit.

minho waited for his stop to come while holding onto one of the buses handrails. he did everything he could to stay awake, but he still managed to loll off.

when the bus stopped, minho was jerked forward as he hadn't braced himself. he was caught by a pair of strong arms while people began filing out around them.

minho looked up to see the blond boy.

"you okay?"

"yeah, fine. thanks." minho was till shocked by his voice. it really didn't match his face.

"you can sit now."

minho nodded at took a seat next to the boy. once again, he nodded off to sleep and once again, the blond woke him up at his stop.

this continued for another few days. minho would be dead tired by the end of his shifts, would fall asleep on the bus, and the blond boy would wake him up at his stop.

although the other bus had started running again and his bus was less crowded, minho still sat beside the boy every day. neither of them seemed to mind.

but one day, minho didn't get woken up at his stop. instead, he fell asleep on the boys shoulder. and then the boy did the same. when minho woke up they were well past his stop. he looked over and found the blond sleeping, laying his head on his shoulder. minho smiled at the cute boy in front of him, not wanting to wake him up. still, he had to.

he shook his shoulder gently until he woke up. the boy woke up and blinked up at minho, confused and sleepy.

"looks like we missed my stop. when's yours?"

"oh! i'm sorry, i didn't mean to fall asleep."

minho chuckled. "it's okay. it's not your job to wake me up, although i do appreciate it."

the boy smiled and looked out the window. "my stop is next. will you get off too?"

"yeah. it's no use going any further and needing to walk longer."

"walk?"

"well how else will i get home?"

the blond looked at his phone in worry.

"hyung, it's almost 1 in the morning. you shouldn't be out so late."

"i'll be fine. my apartment isn't that far."

"no. i'm not letting you walk this late."

as the bus stopped, minho was pulled out of his seat, off the bus and down the street.

"it's really okay, i can get home myself."

"no. it's too dangerous."

minho realized that the boy wasn't going to change his mind, so he silently followed, not letting go of his hand.

when they got to the apartment building, the blond unlocked his door, not realizing he was still holding minho's hand. he only let go when he began to take his shoes off, not acknowledging or realizing what he was even doing.

minho did the same, glancing at the younger every few seconds. he broke the silence by introducing himself.

"i'm minho, by the way."

"oh yeah, i'm felix. i forgot we never introduced ourselves."

minho laughed.

"i'm sorry for intruding like this. i didn't mean to make you worry." minho said.

"it's no problem. i meant it, i wouldn't want you out this late. i don't care if you're a black belt in karate or a police office, no one should be out that late."

"point taken."

felix walked to the kitchen with minho close behind. he poured both of them glasses of water before walking to the bathroom.

"my room's right down the hall. pick out some clothes, i don't mind."

minho nodded and walked away. although felix was obviously smaller than him, minho decided to find some stuff that looked oversized. luckily, he found a big tshirt and a pair of sweatpants that would fit him. he quickly got dressed before felix came back.

minho sat down on the bed and pulled out his phone, wanting to quickly pass the time. when felix came back, he'd taken a shower and put on pajamas.

"i'm gonna grab an extra blanket. you can sleep in here and i'll sleep on the couch."

minho immediately shot up.

"no no, you sleep in here. it's your bedroom. i can sleep on the couch tonight."

"i'm not letting a guest sleep on the couch."

"i'm not kicking my host out of his bedroom."

"fine, yknow what'll solve this?"

"what?"

felix walked over to minho, put his arms around him and pushed them both onto the bed. the two were now facing each other, felix spooning minho.

"we can sleep like this and neither of us have to go in the couch." he smiled

minho laughed at the younger. he pulled his arms out and wrapped then around felix, who graciously snuggled into him. he pulled a blanket over them, even though he knew that they wouldn't need it.

and they fell asleep, minho happy that he missed his stop and felix happy that he'd fallen asleep on the bus.
