Ellinor:
Seeing him with a gun pointed to his head was terrifying. Her soulmates life was threatened. She didn't really think about it, she just reacted. She drank the liquid.
The smell from the flask was horrendous, but the taste and the feeling of the substance was worse. It was like drinking viscous boiling water, it burned down her throat, making her feel like her insides were being corroded. Suddenly the pain in her abdomen disappeared, but she didn't even have time to draw breath before a new pain took over her body. A double pain. Her two marks burned. The pack mark on the back of her shoulder, and even worse, the mating mark on her neck. She tried to hide from Seonghwa exactly how painful it was, but it soon was impossible to keep the sound inside. She screamed, fought against the arms holding her, and while the world became a blur, she stared at her beloved Seonghwa.
As the gun was moved away from his head, for a second she thought they would spare him and do as they said. But in stead of aiming at his head, making it quick, they pointed the gun at his body and let her know that his death would be a slow one, bleeding out alone by a cold fire.
«Seonghwa!» she screamed, over and over as they pulled her away. They left him there, no one stayed behind to help him. No one would know where to find him, he would die alone. «Seonghwa!!!!»
She cried hysterically and fought as long as she could. Nobody hurt her, but they made sure to tie her down so that she had no room to escape, neither as wolf nor as human. She thought for a second that this seemed familiar, before exhaustion got the better of her. She passed out. Maybe it was her body taking pity on her, sparing her the overwhelming pain of losing her mate.

She didn't know how long she was out. She had faint memories of being taken through woods, feeling rain and wind on her skin, freezing. Every now and then someone had forced her to drink some water. Sometimes she laid on the ground for a few minutes before she again was tied onto a wolfs back. Over and over she fell back into darkness, not having the will nor the power to regain consciousness. The darkness was all she longed for whenever the memory of the gun firing came to her. Seonghwa. His name was on her lips, but no air followed to give his name life. He was the emptiness within her now, overwhelming silence and a charcoaled heart.
At some point she felt her sore wrists and ankles being freed from the ropes. She was thrown into a room and she heard a key being turned. The sound was unmistakable. It was the sound of captivity.

Jongho:
He knew he was too late, but he had to try, before they left. He couldn't loose the pack. Yeo! The thought of his mate kept him going, even when the lack of sleep and food was this overwhelming.
«Yeo,» he said in the link, over and over again. His beloved didn't answer. Surely he was getting closer to Ellinors woods now? Jongho was staggering ahead. This wasn't going to work, was it?
He felt himself getting too close to humans, too close to innocents, but there were no more strength left in him. Jongho didn't stop moving forward until everything went into black.

Hanah:
At first she thought it was the carcass of a big dog she saw. The furry coat seemed scruffy, but she didn't see any blood. As she got closer she realized that this was no dog. This was a wolf. A wolf that was either dead or very close to being so. Hanah was not the nervous type of person, but she knew better than to provoke a dying animal.
«Hey! Wolfie! You alive?»
She didn't really expect a reaction from the animal, it really looked more dead than alive, but she jumped away when the poor thing moved a paw.
