For three really long days she screamed, pleaded and cursed the alphas in the house that didn't help her. She cried herself to sleep, but didn't really feel rested after sleeping. Her body was constantly on edge, her instincts got the best of her and she pretty much felt like a caged animal. She pulled on the metal bars, undressed, tried in every way to still the needs in her body. Her own hands couldn't do what she needed, only an alpha could.

Yunho stepped over Seonghwa who was sitting outside the door to the basement. Yunho hade made her dinner, and he hoped she was ready to eat. She hadn't gotten much nutrition into her body these last few days. Looking at Seonghwa, Yunho quickly went through the door and closed it behind him. Even though he moved quickly, Seonghwa had to brace himself not to run after him. He had heard Ellinors sobs as the door closed. It broke his heart.

«You don't need to sit here,» Hongjoong said. «I'll watch the door.»

«I'm doing it,» Seonghwa said. «I want to do it.»

«It'll be over soon.»

«That's what you said yesterday.»

«I know, but Yunho says she really is looking better now. It still isn't safe, but... soon.»

Seonghwa nodded. He was tired. He had had a few breaks, but he couldn't really sleep when he was laying in his bed. Nothing could calm him. The only thing he could do was guard the door.

Hongjoong didn't seem to get affected the way Seonghwa did. Seonghwa ate by that door, rested his head against the wall, and didn't sleep much. The other alphas had all been there, but they ended up staying upstairs, with some distance to him. Seonghwa growled if they as much as looked at the basement door, and even Jongho, who was physically the strongest of them all, got the message. This was the first time any of them saw Seonghwa snarl at them.

The morning of her fifth day in the cell, Yunho said it would be okay to go visit her. He had told her to take a shower, she had gotten clean clothes on her body and now she was eating.

«I'm going down there alone,» Hongjoong insisted. Seonghwa just nodded.

«Hey Ellinor,» Hongjoong said as he walked down the stairs.

She put her fork down and looked at him.

«Alpha.»

«How are you?»

«Much better, thank you.»

«What are your thoughts of the future, Ellinor?»

«I haven't really been able to think much these past couple of days, alpha, I'm sorry.»

«Then I suggest you use the next two days to contemplate the future.»

She nodded. «Thank you, alpha.»

«Seonghwa's been sitting by the door up there for days.»

«Why?»

«To make sure no other alphas came down here.»

«Oh.»

«He would like to see you now. Is that okay?»

She hesitantly nodded.

«Good. I'll pop down later today.»

«Thank you, alpha,» she said again.

She couldn't really eat anymore. Instead she paced the floor, back and forth, until she heard soft steps come down the stairs. He stopped at the bottom and just looked at her.
