Gerard sat with his head leaning against the cold, school bus window, watching the blurs of green, brown, and gray streak past him. His earbuds were in, sufficiently blocking out the sounds of students he hated and the rumbling of the vehicle besides the gentle acoustics of the music. He rarely took the bus, like, ever, but his mom had had to borrow his car today so he had no other option. Regrettably.
