Frank lay on his bed, in a position almost identical to the one Gerard was in across town.
He couldn't stop running his fingers over his lips. That was the first time he'd ever kissed anybody. It felt weird to be that close to another person, close enough that you can see the raindrops clinging to their eyelashes, close enough that you can feel the chapped-ness of their lips. It was about 6 PM, and Frank's mom had forgotten to give him dinner again. It was fine, he wasn't really hungry anyway.
He only had one question.
-What Now?
I mean, had it been too soon? They'd only been friends for what, three days? Was that normal to kiss somebody three days after meeting them? And besides, what happened next? Were they just going to forget it happened? Were they going to be like... a couple??
Frank had never dated anyone. He was deep into uncharted territory.
There was a knock on his bedroom door. His mom came in with a sort of smile, which immediately dropped into a concerned, panicked frown when she saw his face.
"What the hell did you do to your face?!"
Shit.
He'd forgotten about that.
