Y/n sat in a small crevasse on the harsh planet of Hoth. Her clothes were not meant for these conditions. The strongest Jedi to come to power was now close to death because of hypothermia. She sat with her knees to chest and her heads buried between them. She tried her best to preserve her body heat but it was not enough.

She was sent to Hoth to make sure the planet was clear of the First Order. There was an old base that the resistance could use and they needed someone to scout it out. With our letting Leia know, one of her commanders sent Y/n. Little did everyone know that commander was a double agent for the First Order.

Once Leia figured out she informed her best pilot, Poe Dameron. Leia did plan on checking Hoth, but she did not plan on sending a Jedi in training there by them self. Poe immediately got in his x-wing with BB-8, his droid and raced to Hoth. The resistance followed behind him.

Poe got there first and flew around the planet searching for Y/n. As he was flying a small indent in a mountain side caught his eye. Someone was huddled in it. He quickly landed and ran to the area. He knelt down by the body and gently lifted the head.

It was Y/n.

He quickly picked her up and began to carry her to his ship. He placed her in the seat behind him and started up his x-wing.

"Leia? Did you find the base?" Poe asked through his com system.

"Yes, we sent you the coordinates." Leia said to him.

"Did you find her?" Leia asked already knowing the answer.

"Yes, I'm on my way. It's really bad Leia, she's been here for a while." Poe said as he got his X-wing of the ground.

"Don't worry Poe, she's a fighter. She will survive." Leia said to him.

Poe turned of his com and followed the coordinates which were very close.

"I've got to give it to you, you were close." Poe muttered as he landed the x-wing in the base.

Poe turned off his x-wing once landed and quickly got out. He took Y/n out and began to quickly walk her to the med bay that was still being set up in the resistance base. One of the doctors took Y/n from Poe and immediately began helping her. Poe paced around as he waited for the ability to sit alongside Y/n. Leia came up to him as he did so.

"What did you do with him?" Poe asked about the commander.

"He's being interrogated in space. He had no clue that we set up base here." Leia informed Poe.

"Have you heard anything?" Leia asked Poe.

Poe shook his head.

"It hasn't been long." He said.

After saying that the doctor that treated Y/n came up to Poe and Leia. He informed them about the situation at hand. Y/n was basically in a type of coma, her body had shut itself down in a way to preserve the heat that was left. She would wake up soon but the doctor didn't know how soon.

"You can see her now." The doctor said causing Poe to quickly walk past him.

Poe walked into the room Y/n was in and looked at her. She was peacefully sleeping in the bed. Signs of frostbite were apparent on her face, it wasn't bad it seemed like it was just starting to begin. Poe pulled up a chair next to Y/n and held her hand tightly.

"Don't crush it." Leia said as she walked in.

"How did she leave without us knowing?" Poe asked Leia, the hurt in his voice was obvious.

"Poe, she can teleport. She can fly under any one's radar if she wants to. That's why she so good." Leia said to him.

"I guess I should tell the doctor you're staying here for the night?" Leia asked, getting an immediate nod from Poe.

"I'll leave you two alone than." Leia said before walking toward the door.

"She'll be ok right?" Poe asked Leia.

"She'll be fine, she's a fighter just like you Poe." Leia said before completely leaving the room. Leaving Poe and Y/n alone in the room together.

Poe sat by Y/n's side for hours on end just waiting for her to wake up. He didn't want to leave just in case she woke up, he wanted to be there for her. When night had fallen over the planet Hoth, Poe had fallen asleep. His head laying on the bed next to Y/n. He still had a tight grip on Y/n even in his sleep.

Y/n's eyes fluttered open. She looked around as panic took over her mind. She had no idea where she was until she looked down to Poe who was sleeping next to her in a chair. She calmed herself down, feeling better now that she knew where she was. There were certain spots of her body that were in pain due to the extreme cold she was in.

As she moved around, Poe woke up. He looked at her shocked.

"You're awake." He said as he quickly kissed her forehead.

"If anyone sends you on a mission like that again, come to me or Leia first." He said to Y/n.

"It was a spy wasn't it?" Y/n asked.

"Yes." Poe simply said.

"I was close though, wasn't I?" Y/n asked with a smile.

"I can't believe you." Poe said laughing in disbelief.

"How long have I been out?" Y/n asked.

"Only a few hours." He said.

"Good, I didn't miss much." Y/n said as she sat up. When she swung her legs off the bed, she winced in pain.

"Be careful. You just woke up." Poe warned Y/n.

He sat down next to her and put his arm around her waist.

"I'm guessing you've been here the whole time." Y/n said as she looked at Poe with a smile.

"No, definitely not." Poe said sarcastically.

Y/n rested her head on Poe's chest and wrapped her arms around him. Poe pulled her closer to him and kissed the top of her head.

"You are never leaving here alone again." Poe said.

"Good luck with that." Y/n said causing them to both laugh.
