I sat at a table with Damon, Rose, and a friend of Rose who knew a lot about the originals. I was supposed to be at school but that never stopped Damon from taking me with him on these little trips.

I faced the window and watched the people walking around outside. I would frequently look back to Slater who was explaining the history of the originals.

While listening to him, I got a pit in my stomach causing my eyes to dart to the window. Outside I saw Elijah.

"Y/n? What's wrong?" Damon asked.

I began to use my powers to mask our conversation from Elijah. I kept my eyes on him as I talked to the group.

"Elijah is out there and currently has a handful of coins that he's about to launch at these windows." I said.

"Don't look dumbass." I said as Damon began to turn.

Damon turned back to me as I stared at Elijah, he was getting ready to throw the coins.

"What's the plan?" Damon asked.

"Get everyone out of here, I'll go talk to Elijah." I said.

"No way, you are not talking to him." Damon said.

"Damon, I'm going out there you're not going to stop me from doing that. Getting all of these people out of here and to safety is your choice though." I said before disappearing.

I used my powers and put myself in front of Elijah.

"I thought you were hiding for the day?" I asked with my arms crossed.

"Aren't you supposed to be at school?" Elijah asked me.

"Low blow." I said glaring at him.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"I don't like people plotting to take down my family." He said.

"Understandable, but I don't think killing vampire who have nothing to do with that plan will help you any." I said patting his shoulder.

He looked down at my hand slowly, causing me to quickly retract my hand.

"What are you going to do now?" I asked him.

"Kill your source of information." He said as he began walking across the street.

"I seriously do not understand everyone's obsession with killing people." I said as I crossed the street with him.

"Do you plan on following me?" Elijah asked.

"Yes, I do. And you can't run because I can just my magic to keep up." I said causing him to smile.

"Oh my god, he smiles." I said causing him to give a light chuckle.

"I thought you only ever portrayed one emotion." I said as I walked by his side.

"You're not as insufferable as everyone else." He said.

"I think you should cut me a lot of slack because I took the railing out of you, healed you, and gave you a place to stay. At this point you should be doing me favors." I said.

"Such as what?" Elijah asked as he looked over to me.

"Not killing this guy." I said sheepishly.

"I'm sorry, I can't do that. I have to protect my family." Elijah said.

"You're sure?" I asked causing him to stop.

"Y/n, go home. Let me take care of this, I will come back and see you when I finish." Elijah said.

"I don't want you to come to my house if you kill him." I said.

"So, go do it if you have to but don't come and see me." I said before walking away.

"Y/n." Elijah said.

"Y/n!" Elijah repeated as I continued to walk away.

Within a few seconds, Elijah was standing a few inches in front of me. His hand cupped the side of my face. I looked up at him.

"I won't do it." He said as he rested his forehead on mine.

I looked at him for a moment more than allowed our lips to slowly meet for a kiss.
