It haunted him, it was the only image that would flash through his mind when he awoke from the terrible atmosphere of the unknown room. The room that was pitch black and eerily dark felt empty, but he could tell something was there.

Maybe, it was because of the chains that clanked and dragged across the floor every time he stood in that pitch black room, paralyzed. Or maybe, it was the whimpers, oh the whimpers, every time they came from the chained figure he felt shivers run down his spine and make his hairs stand up.

What scared him the most was the familiarity of the room. As if he would know every door way and corner.

He blankly stared at the ceiling of his dorm, trying to solve the puzzle of the nightmare, as he did every night the dream came to disturb his slumber.

He sighed and sat up in bed, "I hate not sleeping." He stated grumpily, he leaned onto his side and stretched his arm towards the nightstand to grab his phone. It read 6:37 upon tapping the screen. A loud sigh escaped his lips before lazily slamming his head back down on his pillow.

Satoru tiredly turned onto his other side, now facing the wall. His heavenly eyes were forced shut and he slowly dozed back off to sleep.

He woke again to the sound of knocking against his door, "Satoru, you're late for class again, and Yaga's pissed... as always." His friend could be heard calling from the other side of the door.

He grumbled and got up from his bed, dragging his feet against the dorms carpet as he trudged to the bathroom. "Tell him I'll be there shortly." He said with a smirk.

"Don't do this to Shoko and I, you know she hates when Yaga gives us hard training because of you." Satoru chuckled to himself at this. He squeezed the tube of toothpaste onto the bristles of his brush and began to brush his teeth, "A little training doesn't hurt anybody Suguru, I'll be there in a sec, I promise." Satoru flashed a bright smile himself while brushing his front teeth.

He calmly walked over to his closet and put on the school uniform that became the bane of his existence. He slipped his shoes on and headed toward the exit, stopping at the counter to grab his signature black shades before fully leaving.

"Look who decided to show up to class." Yaga dryly stated as he eyed the white-haired boy, studying him from head to toe. Satoru slid the door to a close behind him and pridefully strode over to his desk between Shoko and Suguru.

"I could've said forget it and never came, just be happy I'm here, I know the weekends are hard for you since you don't get to see my pretty face." Satoru lowered himself to sit in the uncomfortable chair before resting his chin against his hand, giving his sensei a sly look.

"Gojo, please just shut up. It's bad enough as it is." Shoko jabbed him with her elbow, sending a short pain into his side. He gave her a look of confusion and received a harsh flick to his forehead. "I have to go work in the medical hall for the day because of you." He fake pouted.

"Shoko, sorry to say, but that's where you belong." He cockily grinned at her, earning a stifled laugh that Geto did his best to hold in. "You little-" Shoko began.

"Shoko, you're dismissed." Yaga's voice resonated sternly, interrupting whatever hatred  she was about to verbally give Satoru. She got up with a huff of her breath,  and removed her lighter from her pocket to light a cigarette as she journeyed to the medical hall.

"As for you two, I need you two to investigate the sewers. We have an unknown presence lurking there, reports of women being trailed. Their remains continue to be found miles away in the river bank, so please look into this. I'll need a detailed report when you guys get back, thank you." He clapped his hands and made his way out the classroom.

"What an absolute downer, thought we were gonna get an easy day." Satoru huffed, slouching in his chair.

"I told you." Suguru peered at him through the sides of his eyes judgingly.

"I wasn't thinking a whole mission, Suguru, my bad." His hands raised in defense to calm his friend.

Suguru turned to study his best friend, mentally noting the eye bags he watched progress. "You haven't slept at all really these past couple months. What's going on?" He inquired.

"Listen," He began, "It's honestly nothing, let's just get this over with." Gojo quickly brushed the topic off in fear of reliving the nightmare that continued to haunt him. He pushed himself up from his seat using his palms, and silently left the classroom and his friend.

The door opened with a loud creek, and I knew to listen to my company's feet descend the steps. I made sure to slow my breathing and keep my noise to a minimum. The ring of keys' joyful jingle could be heard clearer as they got closer to me. Black, darkness, emptiness, nothingness. That's all I've been able to see. And the familiar smell of the porridge. The same porridge Ive consumed for the past 11 years.

"Oh, Rintaro." This voice belonged to my father, who was now in front of me. I'm not sure but I think he could be sad for me, for once. I so badly just wanted him to release the chains that bound me and remove whatever was stopping me from using my sight.

"Otosan...?" I merely breathed out. His hand touched the skin of my cheek, and I reflexively nuzzled into his touch. He almost never touched me unless it was to inflict pain. His hand drew away and not a second later it came back at me with a sting. I gave him the benefit of the doubt...

"You know to not speak to me, you and your cursed mouth." I gasped at the new feeling of him lightly petting my head. "Why can't you just be a good daughter? Why be so troublesome? Why continue to live? Just let go, stop reversing it all. There's a reason we're trying to get rid of you." He coldly spat at me. My blindfold became wet with the salted tears that left my eyes. I could hear the ring of the bowl cup the cold floor, he sit my food down.

"Why must you make everything so damn difficult for this clan?" His hand tightened, fisting a large amount of my hair, before roughly yanking me up. I was now on my feet, the shackles tightly pulling at my ankles. "Rintaro, you are not wanted here. Just die already." He dropped me to the ground with an opening of his hand. I fell back on my behind and covered my face, slightly whimpering.

"But your mother insists I still feed you. So here." He pushed the bowl towards me, emitting an ear splitting sound against the ground. I winced at it's harsh squeal.

I listened closely for his footsteps as he stepped away from me. As he got farther, I brought myself to my knees and used my hands to search for the bowl he could've misplaced. I got ahold of it and waited to hear the door close.

It finally shut moments later and I counted the locks as they were set back into place. All 7 were set, and I began to eat hungrily, engulfed in my loneliness once more.

A/N

Hey my loves, I started this story because I honestly haven't seen anything like this before. And yes, it will be a slow burn. I want to slow burn this, and really build character. So this will be a long book, so just hang tight. Also it does switch from third and first pov. But anyways hope you enjoyed this chapter!
