17 - Daphny

"Ree, I bought some ramen-Daphny?"

"Wha-.. Jung.. Jungkook?"

My eyes widens a bit. So they both know of each other? I bit my lip.

Why do I feel something bad about this?

Jungkook quickly walked inside and placed the ramen he bought on a table.

"Daphny..? Why are you.." he trailed as he examined the girl from head to toe.

"I just kinda helped.. mom. It was my dream to be a nurse, remember?" The girl named, Daphny said as she smiled at Jungkook.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too."

I suddenly felt awkward. I also felt my heart aching at the same time. So I really fell for him, huh?

I laughed bitterly, mentally. I always fall that's why I always get hurt at the end. I'm stupid. I'm so stupid.

I clenched my fists.

"Should we talk.. outside?" Jungkook asked as he glanced at me. I quickly looked away and tucked some strand of my hair behind my ear.

"Sure!" Daphny exclaimed as she quickly walked outside, pulling Jungkook.

I took a deep breath and just grabbed the ramen Jungkook bought for me.

"Aww, poor Ree." I heard Athena, making me glare at her. I just clicked my tongue and ignored at her.

She really likes seeing get people get hurt.

I just stuffed my mouth with ramen. Atleast I have food. Food is always there for me. I sighed and finished it.

An hour almost passed and Jungkook hasn't returned yet. I started to feel worried and jealous at the same time.

So I checked them. I peeked my head outside and saw them talking. They were smiling and laughing at each other.

I felt even more jealous. Who's she? How can she make Kookie jealous? I bit my lip and just returned inside.

Athena already left a while ago, leaving me and V behind. Which is awkward.

"So, where's Jungkook?" He suddenly talked, making me flinch. I turned to him. I thought he was asleep but he was awake.

I sighed and returned to the couch.

"Outside." I scoffed. "Talking to the nurse." I added, clenching my fists.

"Jealous?" He snickered, smiling.

"Isn't obvious?" I asked, frowning. His smile suddenly disappeared.

"You really like him?" He asked. His question made me uneasy. I quickly looked away and avoided the eye contact.

"Yes." I answered nervously.

"Really?"

I nodded, not bothering to look at him. "So you're really letting go of me?" He chuckled bitterly.

My eyes widens. I stared at him, shocked. He remembers? What? He knows..? That I? What?

"You-"

"No I don't remember. I just.. I'm happy that you're finally letting go of me..." he trailed. "..because I'm already happy with Athena and I hope you're happy with Jungkook." He added, locking our gazes.

I gulped and nodded at him. Yeah, he's happy with Athena. I'm okay with that.

The door finally opened. "Jungkook!" I exclaimed, standing up. Jungkook turned to Ree and smiled.
