35 - Vengeance

3rd Person's POV

"Uhm, hey."

Ree spoke, it was obvious that she was nervous based on her voice. She was clenching her fists as their eyes met. I'm talking to him. She thought as she kept her eyes on him.

"Do you want to talk?"

He asked. Surprising, me. He wants to talk to me?  Ree thought as he watched V stood up as he walked towards her. She suddenly felt her heart pounding.

"T-Talk where..?" She stammered as V extended his hand towards her. She looked at V, confusedly but she's actually shocked.

Jin glanced at Ree and V, a small smirk crawled on his lips as he danced away, victoriously.

"Outside. It's too noisy here." V smiled as he extened his arm, placing his other hand inside his pocket as he waited for Ree.

Ree stared at his hand and before she even realized it, she already grabbed it and V took her outside the venue. The music started fading as soon as V dragged her outside.

They stopped and ended infront of the restaurant as she still heard the faded music. She quickly shoved V's hand as soon as they stopped. She looked around and took a deep breath.

"So?" V asked, calmly as he leaned on the door of the venue. He looks calm. She thought so she decided to calm down. But actually, V's also freaking out. He's just not showing it.

He just wants to hug her and kiss her. He didn't want to let go of her hand but it seems like she did. He sighed mentally.

"Uhm.." Ree trailed as she avoided V's eyes. She tucked some hair behind her ear as she looked around, pretending to be distracted.

"How are you?" He started, making Ree tilt her head as she clenched her fists. "Good. You?" She replied, still not bothering to glance at him.

"Good." He answered, plainly. Ree cussed mentally. She didn't want to be in this situation. This is awkward as hell. She took a deep breath.

They stayed silent for a few minutes. She sighed. "If you're not going to say anything, I'll go back-" She was about to walk inside when V stopped her by grabbing his arm.

"No. Wait." He said, pulling Ree back. Ree bit her lip and her heart started pounding like crazy.

"What?" She frowned, trying to sound bitter but it seems like she failed. V was nervous. He didn't know what to say. He didn't want her to leave.

His mind didn't know what to say but his heart knew it all.

"I'm sorry."

Ree's heart stopped. Her eyes slightly widens as she heard those words. He knew that did something wrong? She thought. She mentally nodded. Good for him.

She suddenly felt a bit mad. All the feelings returned to her. The way she felt when V didn't stop her, when V didn't run after her and when V didn't say goodbye.

She let out a soft chuckle. "I'm sorry too." She replied, turning to V with a smile. V quickly smiled back.

Ree leaned towards him. She leaned and leaned and leaned. V closed his eyes, waiting for the moment when Ree leaned towards his ears.

"But it's too late for that." She whispered, sending shivers down to V's spine as she left with a smirk on her face. She felt like she needed revenge. She wanted V to know how much she suffered when she moved away.

She wanted vengeance.

"Party's over, guys! Time to go home!" Ree announced as she stood up from her seat, the smirk was still on her face. She wanted to show him that she's strong.

I'm strong. She thought.

"Alright!" They all said in unison as they all stood up from their seats, exiting the venue. V met Ree's eyes. Ree gave him another smirk and V returned it with a confused look.

They decided to go home. They needed to drive to the girls back to Ree's hotel. After a few minutes, they arrived. Jungkook opened the door for Ree and Athena.

"Noona. Thanks for this night." Jungkook smiled at the both of them. "I had fun." He added, making both of the girls smile.

Ree turned to the boys and smiled. "I had fun too. Thank you for spending this night with me." Ree thanked them. She glanced at V who still seemed confused.

"Bye." She said as they all greeted their 'goodbyes'. After everything was done, they finally left.

"What happened?" Jin spoke as his eyes were focused on the road. Everyone glued their eyes to V. Everyone knew that he was talking about V.

Everything was planned. The whole dance. It was planned so that they would have an alone time.

"I- I.." V muttered as he pressed his lips together, clenching his fists as he stared outside.

"What?" They all asked in unison. They wanted everything to come back again. They wanted the old Ree and V back again but it seems like it's going to be hard.

"I apologized." V said, not bothering to look at their expressions.

"Good. What did she say?" Suga asked.

"She said it was too late." V bit his lip as the scene a while ago played in his head which broke his heart into bits. Is it really too late?  He asked himself, closing her eyes.

The guys started asking questions. They started giving advice to him and they started giving their own conclusions about what happened. But that didn't matter to V.

He ignored it. He thought of ways. Ways to get her back, ways to make it all return.

Ree sighed as she dropped her tired body on her bed. "Eonnie, are you sure you wanna sleep here?" Ree asked as she turned to Athena, who's currently taking her makeup off.

Athena stared at the mirror as she wiped her face with a makeup remover using some cotton pads. "I'm sure." She said, nodding at her.

"Fine then." Ree sighed, closing her eyes for a minute when V's image appeared in her mind.

She didn't want to be the good girl now. She's tired of being the one who's always hurt. A tear escaped her eye.

"I don't want you anymore." She whispered to herself.

Tired. *yawn* That picture on the MM is nothing, I just like it so much.
