22 - Pretending

"Jungkook." I took a deep breath as I stared into my eyes. My heart is pounding so hard again.

I missed him.

"Ree, I didn't mean it. Please. I need you. I'm sorry." He whispered as he pulled me closer to him, giving me a hug.

I seriously missed this guy. My eyes started to water. "I'm.. I'm sorry, too." I cried, as I buried my face into his chest.

"Oh god, please don't cry. I don't want you to cry because of me." He whispered, kissing my forehead and making me smile.

I tried to stop crying but I just can't. I missed him so much. I missed his voice, his face, his smell.

I wiped my tears away, and raised my head, meeting his eyes. "I'm sorry." I bit my lip.

"You don't have to say that. I should be the one who's saying sorry, okay? I'm sorry." He said, cupping my face and giving me a reassuring smile.

His smile. It's basically everything.

We hugged for another few minutes and finally, we kissed. I missed his kiss. It basically gives me life.

I didn't know that he was this important to me.

"Ree. I'll make it up to you. Get ready for tomorrow." He said, winking at me. My eyes slowly widens.

"Tomorrow? O-Our.. date?" I asked as my eyes lit up. He nodded at me, smiling and I gave him another hug.

The date. It's tomorrow. The day where I'm finally going to give him my answer.

"Ree-ah! I missed you!" Jimin shrieked, running towards me and giving me a hug.

I chuckled at him and hugged back. "I missed you too." I replied, smiling at him.

"Who's there? Ree? Really?"

A voice came from upstairs, making me glance upstairs. "Jin? Oppa!" I squealed, running towards him as I ran into his arms.

"I missed you. Oh god." I whispered. "I missed you too dear, everyone did." He grinned, hugging back.

"Where's Suga and Namjoon?" I asked, breaking the hug.

"Out."

"Where?"

"I don't know.. I heard that they were with Jungkook..?" He trailed, as he tried to remember. ".. they were preparing something? I don't know." He sighed, placing a hand on his hip.

A small grin peeked on my lips.

"I'm so glad that you guys were okay! I was so scared. I thought that you never ever wanted to see us." Jin chuckled, as we walked together downstairs.

"I would never do that." I grinned as the scene yesterday replayed on my mind.

The girl I left.

He left? So he left me..? Why'd he leave me? I mean, he didn't even know that he had me. I'm so confused. He's confusing the hell out of me.

"So I heard that V talked to you." Jin said, leading me towards the kitchen.

A small blush appeared on my cheeks. Why? Why?

"He did." I plainly said as I watched him grab two cups. "What happened?" He asked, surprising me.

"He didn't tell you?" I asked, leaning on the wall as I watched him make some hot choco.

"He just told us that you guys talked. That's it." He said, glancing at me. I was about to talk when he suddenly spoke.

"But the question is..." he trailed. "What did you guys talk about?" He said, winking at me.

"Jin."

"Ree, to be honest. I seriously like you and V more." Jin sighed, placing a couple of marshmallows on our drink.

I looked at him confusedly.

"Jin, he forgot about me." I muttered as he gave me the cup of hot choco with marshmallows.

"Are you sure?" He smirked, walking towards the couch. I raised a brow and I sat next to him, placing my hot choco on the top of their small coffee table.

"What do you mean?" I asked, giving him a confused look.

He took a sip and glanced at me. "I don't know.."he trailed. "It's just.." he stared into his cup of hot choco as his thumbs rubbed the sides of the cup.

"There's something weird about him." He whispered, looking around to see if someone was listening.

"Weird? What do you mean?" I asked, frowning at him and grabbing my hot choco.

"I'm sure that he cares for you." He said, leaning on the couch. I stayed silent and just listened to him as I drank my hot choco.

"Ree, I don't think he loves Athena." He sighed.

"Mhm? Really?" I grinned.

"Seriously. There was this one time where I saw V and Athena. V was trying to push her away. I swear, you should've seen it. They're always fighting." He said, turning to me.

"Couples always fight." I complained.

"Ree, he's annoyed with her. He doesn't like Athena." He pressed his lips together.

A marshmallow slipped inside my mouth as I continued listening to him.

"Oh! There was this one time when I heard V whispering your name when he was asleep." He grinned, winking at me making me blush.

He whispered my name? Oh god, I would do everything to hear that.

"Your making up things." I chuckled.

"Ree, I know V more than you do." He laughed. "So..?" I raised a brow at him.

"I know his actions. And I know that he is still deeply and madly in love with you."

"Shut up."

"I'm not kidding."

"But he's with Athena. I'm with Jungkook. What can I do with it?" I scoffed.

"You don't love Jungkook."

I stopped breathing and stared at him. I don't love Jungkook? There was this part of me that suddenly, believes that. Do I love him?

"W-What do you mean?" I stammered, holding my cup tightly as I stared at him.

"You just pity him. I'm sure." He chuckled, finishing his drink.

"I don't-"

"Don't you deny it. We both know that you still love him. You're just saying that you don't because you don't see him." He cleared his throat.

"I see him almost everyday. Jin."

"Yes you do but you try not to."

I was dumfounded. "Everyone lies." He spoke, chuckling.

"Even V..." he trailed. He turned to me and leaned to my ear.

"I don't think his lying though.. I think he's pretending."
