"They're ugly, aren't they?" My mom had always told me that scars don't befit a woman. A woman's skin should be flawless as a crystal and beautiful as of a swan's. A girl must always be elegant and ladylike, if not, she will never be able to find a man who would love her. Those words are still carved into my mind and I don't know if they'll ever go away.
He sat in front of me, scratching his neck. "Aren't scars supposed to be the greatest evidence of your life?"
"What?" I arched my eyebrow, confused.
His answer was what bewildered me. It was a one sentence response but for some reason, it made me all fluttery inside.
"Scars are proof that you've been strong." He explained, more specifically this time.
He must hate me for I am part of the species that had slaughtered his entire bloodline. As a demigod, he must loathe us humans. But, here he is, trying to console me.
"And, you should not refer to yourself as damaged good or defective. If someone makes you feel like that, you should teach them a lesson, instead. Not torture yourself. Geez, you humans are stupid. I guess, some things never change." He grumbled. I tried to hold back my chuckle but the more I held it back, the more I laughed out loud. I smiled to him.
Ah... Is this what they call... "Sympathy"? It feels weird. I feel so warm inside and yet I feel my face getting wet.
"Thank you," was all I can utter as sobs started to escape my mouth. My voice became hoarse from crying. My tears wouldn't stop flowing, however, I accepted, for once. This is the first time someone outside from my family accept me for who I am, despite my flaws and imperfections. I feel loved and cared to. It's so strange.
"Hey! Why are you crying? Was it something I said?" I shook my head in response.
"These are what you call tears of joy, sire." I informed him.
However, Darius. You would hate me if you ever find out about my past sins that I will never be able to atone for.
I didn't really remember anything other than, Darius carrying me in his arms.

"Great, you're awake." I woke up in a field of grass enveloping me. Darius was leaning against a huge oak tree. "Now, we can discuss the terms and conditions."
I studied him. He just looked like the way in the game. Of course, the real deal was much better.
His long golden hair was like dipped in a pool of gold and shine against the sun's rays. He must've not had the time to cut his hair; it swayed along with wind and the leaves. His golden eyes glittered along the reflection of nature. He has a good physique. He was talk and slender. His sharp jawline also highlighted the rest of his face. He's a demigod, alright. That beauty of his, no human would be able to rival it.
"I really can't be your bride, though?" I said to him before he rumbled about having kids again.
"And, why is that? What's your excuse now?" He looked directly into my eyes.
"I'm a human." I answered, it was brief and easy to understand.
"No need to state the obvious." I groaned in frustration.
"I'm young. Like, really young compared to you. I'm only 22 and you're like hundreds of thousands of years old." I explained. Dude, this is incredibly illegal, stop.
"I don't get what you're trying to say." He looked genuinely confused, raising am eyebrow.
"Excuse me, sir. That's pedophilia!" I yelled at him, covering my face.
