Setting my heart aflame was much more exhausting than I thought.

The blaze around my heart burns but it does not hurt. It just feels hot, no, warm. This kind of warmth is something that I have never felt before, ever. It's new to me but it isn't bad, at all.

However, it's draining all my life energy away! I'm tired!

My whole body ached and I could fall to the hard ground and still get a good sleep.

I sat on a large rock, Keir was beside me. He looked like someone who is currently carrying the whole world.

I observed him. His red eyes were looking into the unknown, as if finding for something that has never existed. His long, black hair dances along with the calming wind and strands of his hair were covering his flawless face. "Is something bothering you, Keir?"

He turned to me, then to the ground. He clenched his fists, as if he's in a war with someone or something that he cannot defeat. "I... I know you all said that I have the upper hand in a  fight, if ever we would have to. But... I can't." I furrowed my eyebrows due to his sudden confession.

My eyebrows furrowed. "You can't what?"

"I can't hurt humans... I can't kill them." How righteous. Truly a creation of a god. Are all the other dragons like him?

"Even if they are doing evil deeds?" I asked, raising my eyebrow.

"They are not evil! It's the God of Curses, he's the one who's forcing them to do these things. So, I don't want to hurt humans." Keir defended. Geez, this dragon is dedicated. Far so dedicated and kindhearted, indeed. And, just a bit ignorant.

"You don't have to. You can just knock them out. You don't have to kill anyone if you don't want to, Keir." I consoled him. "Not wanting to kill is a beautiful and kind gesture. You seem to treasure human life and I'm grateful for that. We need someone like you in this cruel world." I spoke with a gentle voice, patting his shoulder.

"Thank you, my lady. I do treasure human life, a lot. It is why I am here, it is my purpose to preserve and protect the lives of the gods has created. I shall knock them unconscious, instead." He told me.

"Is that all?" I asked.

"Yes." He nodded, smiling. "How about you, my lady? Is there something you need from me?" It was his turn to question me.

"Well, I do wish to know how to use the black essence properly." I admitted. I need to learn, somehow.

"Before you do, you need to let go of the darkness that you hide inside your heart." He disclosed.

"What if there is no darkness?" I inquired.

"Then, you must not know who you really are. Everyone has their own darkness, even the gods, themselves. The way we react to those darkness can affect our lives for eternity." My lips parted at his statement. That was quite philosophical. "So, my lady, who are you?" How should I know? I lived two lives. One as Sandara and the other as Heather.

"I'll heed your advise and try to find that darkness, Keir." I do have some secrets but I don't think it's the one that's holding me back. It's like I have forgotten something.

I went back inside, closing the door behind me. I heard Thea discussing something with Ann.

"If only I'm rich." Thea huffed, drinking a glass of beer. Is she drinking on duty?

"I can definitely relate to that, Miss Thea." Ann replied, also drinking, but with tiny gulps.

"If I had a penny on my name when I was a child, I would've a good childhood, unlike the one I had today." Thea spoke, again, leaning her head on her hand.
