Rowan had ignored all the gossips aimed at him and still pursued us. I sighed as I filled my mouth with even more food.

"Your Highness, even if the Fairy King is courting me. I have no feelings for him, whatsoever. So, please rest assured." I don't have feelings for you either, so shut the fuck up. I can't enjoy my food.

"Weren't you the one who went on a date with my sister when your fiance was away?" I asked, but it was more of an attack.

"I didn't." He quickly denied.

"Don't even try to deny it, Your Highness. Many has witnessed you buying her jewelries from various stores." I reminded him that eyes and ears are everywhere.

"Sister, you're so silly." Bella had butted in the conversation. So rude. "He was just trying to appeal me, just like how he does with the rest of our family. We are soon to be his in–laws, after all." Yeah, right.

"Then, since we are not married, yet, Your Highness, I should be able to do anything I wish, as much as you can. Besides, as you had said the other day. This is nothing but a marriage of convenience and politics. I have no obligation to show affection for you, whatsoever." It's so fun using other people's words against theirs. There's just another level of satisfactory. "So, if you don't mind, I would love to eat my share of food now. Or, would you not allow me to?" I asked, piercing the fork's teeth into the steak, blood staining the clean, white plate.

"No, do as you wish." He finally stipulated, walking away with Bella to the groups of crowd.

"Thank you." I bit my inner lip, preventing myself to even insult him. I can't attack him when he's not being hostile. The nobles would see me as the bad guy, then.

"Humans are such a pain in the ass." I can't argue with that, can I? "Shouldn't you be socializing at a time like this?" Aren't your remarks contradictory to each other?

"Do I look like I have friends to you?" I actually don't, Heather was such a shut off kind of person. There were a few who she could trust, as well. She only had Thea all her life other than that, she was mostly alone.

"Most certainly not when you have no choice but to eat with the demigod who slaughtered half of your race years ago."  He stated. Did he has to bring that up now? His grudge against humans is really huge. Good thing I made a deal with him.

"Don't bring that topic up when I'm eating." This conversation is making me lose my appetite.

"I'll try." Don't try, just do it.

I faked a smile, I shouldn't get in his nerves. "Deeply appreciated." My face has been hurting quite a bit from all these smiling. If I don't smile for a second, people would think that I hated them. That would be obnoxious.

"I have one question for you, human." Darius stroke up a conversation, again. "How were you able to teleport here without proper training? I know that you've been able to cut wood that won't even burn even with the empire's greatest magic. But, still. I am quite curious?" Now, that I think about it. He's right.

"Well, I just imagined being here, then when I opened my eyes. I was here." That was indeed the truth.

"Hmm... Quite abstract, don't you think?" Darius asserted, waiting for a better answer. Well, shit. I don't really know how I did it, either.

He sighed. "The reason on how you were able to—would help you greatly in our future training. You need to remember how you had done in it in an exact way."
