"Thea, why didn't you kill those who enslave you the moment you got back from the war? Or, maybe you could've just worked as a mercenary or assassin. They're quite popular these days." Thea and I began walking back to my hospital room, where Darius was, as well.
"That's because I didn't want my life to surround around murder and violence. I actually wanted to be my lady's maid as a form of gratitude and change. I wanted to do something right for once." But, Thea, sacrificing yourself for your family and avenging your former colleagues are righteous acts.
She's probably so blinded by her past mistakes that she doesn't see those facts. Hah... Poor girl.
"So, you wanted to live a peaceful life, now? However, you might not get that when you're working for me." The first arc, which involves the Findara incident has concluded. But, there's still four more arcs that included the four more male leads. I don't know exactly when that's going to happen since the timeline has been jarring, lately. Darius might have his arc since he's a hidden male lead, I don't know. But, sooner the better. That way I can go back to Earth early.
"It's alright, my lady. I don't really have any conscience to those who do evil deeds, like the people who attacked this village." We have the same mindset, huh?
"Yes, I think so, too." I nodded at her statement. Evil people who take advantage of innocent people don't deserve to live, or at least, they need to have a large amount of repentance.
"Ah, we're here, my lady." Thea told me as soon as we reached the room.
"Hah... This dress is annoying me, now." I commented before twisting the knob open.
Ann, Rod, and Ben were sitting on the long, rectangular chair attached to the wall on the side. They looked shocked to see my fully healed arm, but not dare to ask.
I tried to gather some of the power from the Sun's Crystal but I couldn't. Is this a side effect?
"Don't use your powers." Goodness Darius' voice startled me. He was sitting up on the bed.
"Huh?"
"You'll hurt yourself. You might be healed but your life energy has not been completely restored, yet. Refrain from using it for a few more days." He told me. It's like that? But, I slept well today, though... Oh, well. He's the one who knows about these powers more, I should listen to him.
"Okay?" I shrugged. Is it that big of a deal? I leaned towards Thea and whispered in her ear, "Thea, if you don't mind, could you find me some good clothes?" As she was about to leave, I told her that we will meet back at the inn.
"As you wish, my lady." She bowed and exited the room.
"Ann, Ben, Rod. I'm really glad to see you alive and well. But, if it's okay, I'd like to speak with Darius. Alone." I requested.
"Of course, Lady Heather. We shall see you at lunch." Ann said and the others nodded their heads.
"Yes. Prepare us your very best, again, Ann." I informed her and she smiled, brightly.
"For my dearest customers, anything." They curtsied.
The three of them marched out and closed the door.
I looked at Darius, locking eyes with him. "You. Despite your old age, you're such a pain."
Darius scoffed. "Like you could speak. You almost died yesterday." He retorted and I rolled my eyes. Could he be anymore sarcastic?
"But, I didn't." I grinned.
"What if your maid never stepped in? What would've happened to you?" My smiled turned into a pout. He's right. Thea really is the MVP of yesterday's battle.
