I scanned through the card Kale had given me, sitting on my seat, I flopped the card on the table. It has a large sword and with wings. What a befitting symbol for them. Quinnell Household do sell lots of high quality weapons. They're the empire's main producer. Most of the empire's knights and soldiers' swords were made by them.

Black hair and black eyes, huh? Darius could be right, he might be a brother or cousin. Either way, I don't really know anyone from mom's side. Come to think of it, I have never met my maternal grandmother nor grandfather. They were never in Heather's memory.

If mom really did had another child with another man, then, who is his father? He looked exactly like mom so I can't pinpoint who. If he was related to Heather somehow, shouldn't he be mentioned in the game? Or is this like the creator of Lady of Resilience. She had her own ideas and was thrown away. Everything's so messed up. I just arranged the thing with Darius and now this. Meeting a relative; then, Beatrice suddenly invited me, her mortal enemy, to a party.

It's weird that Darius kept on calling me human, but it's even weirder that Keir stopped calling me mortal. He's been formal ever since he acted as my butler.

"Can you investigate this for me?" I handed him the magic crystal from the bear. Magic crystals worth more than at least thousands to millions of gold coins. They are extremely expensive since they are hard to find. Most mages and scholars monopolize then, as well.

"Yes, I can. I'll be back before sundown." He bowed

"Yes, that'll be great."

"Hey, human." Darius entered the room, carrying some kind of wood.

"What are you going to do with that? If you want a fireplace, can't you just like ask for Keir? I'm sure he can do magic."

"No, this is for your training. Remember what I said earlier?"

"Yes." The thing about me being endangered because I had learned about the curse.

"Listen, I can only train you with the crystal you had swallowed. My powers enhance your overall strength, agility, and regeneration. I'll teach you some of the most important footwork, as well."

"Okay! What do I do?" This reminds me of my training with dad. He would make me cut wood and hard concrete to test my power. He could do those things without breaking a sweat.
