I groaned in pain as I heard the birds singing and the leaves ruffling along with the wind. The window was open and the curtain was flying inside, causing some noise.
I gazed upon the room for it was not how I remember it. We're we transferred? This was not Ann's inn.
What happened? Did we win against the church? What happened to Thea? Did she really... Die?
I winced as I touched my left shoulder. It was covered in bandages, it went along to my neck, and more around my body. The bleeding seemed to stop. Still, it hurts like hell. I won't ever get used to having no left arm.
My eyes trailed along the bedsheets, it was Darius. He looked exhausted. He did threw up lots of bloods yesterday.
I placed my palm on his head. Ouch! So hot. What a high fever he has. I placed two fingers near his wrist. That's not good. Where are the doctors?
I bit my lip as I remembered yesterday's events.
I couldn't believe it. Thea's dead. But, she shouldn't be, right? I mean, she said that she had ultimate cell regeneration. Although, the one that cut through her was a Heavenly Weapon.
A knock on the door was heard and I carefully stood up from the bed, not wanting to wake Darius.
Is this hospital dress okay to wear outside?
Geez, even my feet and legs hurt like hell.
I turned the knob open and it revealed Ann, Ben, and Rod. Thank goodness, they're okay.
"Lady Heather!" Ben yelled as soon as he saw me and hugged me tightly.
"Ben, stop it. Lady's injured." I hissed a little as I felt a pang on my arm. Well, it was expected. I just didn't want to acknowledge it, because I might have a mental breakdown if I do.
"No, it's okay. I feel a lot better, now." I looked towards the bed. "Although, I can't say the same thing for him." I could see Darius' breaths hitching even in his sleep. How did he end up in that situation? His pulse was beating rapidly, as well.
"Well, after we found you yesterday, you were with this silver haired man. He asked us to bring you to the nearest hospital." So, this was a hospital. Why is Darius beside me, then? What about the other rooms? Don't tell me lots of villagers has been injured.
Silver haired man. I smiled, gently. "I see. That was Young Master Kale from the Quinnell Duchy."
"After that, Darius wouldn't rest until he had stop your arm from bleeding. He even coughed up blood and passed out." This guy is seriously the most complicated person I have met in my entire life.
"I see. Where's the man that you have spoken about?" I asked them. I need to talk to Kale.
"He's outside. Should I call him?" Ann answered as she marched towards the door.
I shook my head. "No, I should go to him. I don't want to wake up Darius." I told her. "Oh, and please take care of Darius for a moment. I'll be right back." I added and exited the room.
I walked through the hallways of the hospital. Not gonna lie, despite being a rural area, they have a decent hospital. I wonder if they have doctors here or just healers. This is a fantasy-historical world, after all.
I stumbled upon a door and opened it. Luckily for me, it was where Kale was. His appearance has also gone back to normal.
"Good morning, young master. It's a good day, today, isn't it?" I asserted, curtsying.
