Ashley was surprised to see her sister working so intently in kitchen with an apron on, stirring something vigorously in a bowl. Someone would've guessed what she was trying to make but knowing herself, who have zero knowledge about cooking except for eating, she simply shrugged it off.
She was surprised some more when her father too came inside kitchen wearing similar apron and some vegetables in his hand. Now she was definitely confused, what is going on? Is today something special but their birthday was just gone, then what?
Allison after watching Ashley come in, smiled at her, gesturing her to come closer and taste the cooking but then a confusion masked Ashley's face and she asked, not able to hold the suspense anymore
"What's going on you guys?" as her eyes danced between these two people
Allison chuckled happily, "Dad invited Alarick for dinner"
Her eyes went wide after listening to the Allison's words, with a shock expression she looked towards her father who was the main culprit, knowing the situation and still......
She glared at him without blinking as he avoided any eye contact with her and pretended to be busy with something else. Seeing the chance as Allison went back to mixing the ingredients. She sneaked up closer to her father, whispering
"Why are you calling him here?" Ashley questioned, unable to hold the gritting
"They deserve to know" her father whispered back
No, never – she screamed inside her mind then slowly she moved back, turning, running towards my room. Slamming the door hard.
Why? Why does he have to call him here, if he sees me, he'll know. He'll get more confused about this situation. No, I can't do this to Allison, and I can never share my mate with anyone, it's better to have none.
I have to reject him – her mind screamed while her wolf whimpered disagreeing with her idea and pained from the thought of losing her mate
Time passed by and Alarick knocked on Allison's house door, sharp at 9 PM. Allison opened the door with a big smile on her face, she was happy that they were taking next step in their relationship- meeting the family. She hasn't met his yet, just video chatted with his mother but when Allison's father asked her to invite him to their home and Alarick agreed instantly, it made her happy. Finally, he'll meet every one of her family members.
Allison's father welcomed Alarick with a wide grin plastered on his face as Alarick settled down on of the chair, her father didn't let Allison to sit next to him but sent her immediately to call Ashley, Allison happily obliged.
"So, Alarick, what interests you in my daughter?" His voice stern and deep
"Um, she is very sweet and nice, my mate actually, I guess bond speaks in various ways" Alarick replied without letting the other Alpha intimidate him
"What are your thoughts about two mates?" Alpha Harold asked again, resting his elbows on arms of chair and connecting his fingers together
"Well, that's a topic I've never thought much about but I...... I support everyone" he stated, getting a little nervous around the other Alpha's seriousness
Harold saw hesitation on boy's face, but he decided to reveal everything today and let these kids face and settle the truth.
"How are your mate senses and...." He was interrupted before asking further to Alarick by Allison as she ran down the stairs worried, her father got up too, looking at her disheveled face.
Allison frantically dialed on her phone when her father asked her
"What happened?"
"Ashley, she is not in her room, I searched everywhere" as she got hold of her hair
