Sarah was a very hard-working girl, she has been practicing so good which sent a small smile on Ashley's face. Ashley's head was haywire from the recent happening like when she touched Sarah, she saw some memories, terrifying ones but the main question was why did she feel like she was there and she actually felt her pain?
Ashley was confused, some strange things started happening to her since she came to this pack and she will find out why?
While completing her own agenda, one of the reason why she agreed to come and stay in this pack.

Today was weekend so she decided to gather and search for the answers she's been looking for, maybe she might find Crescent Falls waterfalls too. She hoped it was as beautiful as the one that keep appearing in her dreams.

She was walking on the east border of pack, though Crescent Falls was a big pack but it mostly consisted of deep, dark forest with no residence. She was at the corner of where the dark forest was located, nobody other than pack's warriors were allowed to go there, mostly because of horror stories of Rouges attacks. Pack warriors have been searching for them in forests for so long but never been able to track down their location.

She sighed at the thought that they won't let her pass, turning on her heel, she was about to go in other direction, when she heard a soft murmur of people, it was distinct and inaudible due to heavy breeze flowing around there. What made her more curious was as her step started walking towards the voices it started becoming more and more loud.

The words were not clear but she was quite sure one of them was crying,

it was...... a female.

She was about to walk more towards to see who are these people that she was able to hear, their voices muffled but can't smell their scent when a hand grabbed, turning her around.

She was met with a pair of intense charcoal black eyes; she didn't know who he was but his scent told her he was a high ranker and belonged to this pack. His eyes narrowed down on Ashley's form as he pulled her towards other direction, when her eyes fall on the surrounding she recognized she was inside the forest and she didn't know how she came here? Maybe following the voices?

He dragged her out, making her stumble from his force of grip. His voice was groggy and deep when he spoke, face screaming danger and aura darker than night. Folding his hands, he pinned her on the spot asking

"Who are you? Your scent smell like mix of our Alpha and higher rank but you don't belong to our pack"

Rolling her eyes, Ashley muttered, "I don't want to be part of your pack as well. I'm Ashley, your Alpha brought me here and yes, I'm smell like higher rank because I'm going to be Alpha of Red Mountain pack, so think before you spit another word out of your mouth" smiling bitterly at the end

"I don't have to respect anyone but my Alpha" he replied crudely

Someone might have thought a battle would begin here but to surprise, even for this warrior, Ashley shook her head impressed from his remark

"Really, then how about you leave this Alpha and come work for me?" Ashley asked slyly, looking at him, he seemed stronger and competent while his loyalty sparked interest for Ashley

He looked in her eyes, trying figure out this crazy woman in front of him who didn't look terrified looking at him or was scared to talk to him.

"My loyalty is not up for negotiation" he said, walking away from her

She nodded her head in understanding and followed him,

"Did you hear something in the forest?"

His steps halted and he turned abruptly, Ashley didn't see him stop and when he turned, she was surprised. His eyes turned golden as she confusingly looked up at him. He was hovering over her form, searching in her eyes if she was playing or lying to him. And for the first time, Ashley's eyes fell on his brown skinned face, it looked like the sun has painted his face on the right spots and then her eyes followed towards the scar grazing his skin right from bottom of his lips down the chin, it was deep and looked old.

To warrior's surprise, she didn't look at him with disgust or scare after seeing the scar but like it was every day's thing and like everyone have it. Actually, Ashley was more of confused as she tilted her head to side after seeing the scar as to why it didn't heal and without thinking she asked,

"Why didn't your scar heal?" looking up in his eyes

Her scent was alluring, her big wide eyes captivating him, the grey color so pale like it could see right through him. His black hair falling on his forehead as he felt his breath sweeping low because of this unknown beautiful she-wolf.

"Wounds heal, scars...... they are the reminder of what you lost" he spoke, his voice going deeper with wind flowing around them

"What did you lose?" Ashley asked, her strong gaze not fidgeting

He thought- this little female is very dangerous, he might never have spoken to people around him more than two words and here she is asking him questions one after other.

"First you tell me, who are you? And what were you doing in this forest?"

"I am daughter of Alpha Harold, future Alpha of Red Mountain pack and I would offer you to come and join our pack if you want....." Ashley wanted to add your Luna but bit her lip from saying, "Okay, I'll make it simple," she moved a little back, extending her hand in front of him, "Hi, my name is Ashley and you are?"

He just rolled his eyes and asked again, "What were you doing in the forest?"

"I told you I heard some voices, someone was there" Ashley pointed, raising her eyebrows annoyed at this rude werewolf

"Wait, what?" now he was confused, nobody lives there and pack members are forbidden to go past some boundaries, he checked the perimeter and made sure no one was there, did she happen to hear rouges

She huffed, irritated, "I said there was couple of people speaking in the forest and a female was crying, I couldn't hear what they were saying so I was walking towards the direction of sound when you pulled me"

He looked at for any sign of lie but she looked genuine, her aura was what made him believe her- mesmerizing, tempting and confident.

Who was she? Why was she so alluring to him- he shrug his thoughts

Seeing him contemplating and knowing nobody can stop her, she was ready to march back in the forest and find out about the talking toms' but he grabbed her hand, halting her from moving.

Now, annoying has just become a word

Ashley stomped on his foot and head-butting him on forehead, twisting the holding arm behind his back, locking him in weak position.

"First and last warning, do not touch me" Ashley sternly reminded him

"Stop" they heard distant footsteps with approaching warriors and their Alpha.

Alarick looked at the scenario how his lieutenant of warriors, Kai was hold by a mere female in tight grip, he was confused at first as to why Kai wasn't trying break our of Ashley's hold, but then his eyes fell on the tight hold of Ashley's hand on his pinky, making him surrender and at her mercy.

"Let him go" Alarick ordered

Ashley didn't like the tone of him but smiled back, grinning in mischief, "Okay" pushing Kai away, making him stumble

Alarick shook his head, Kai was a very powerful warrior, he has been serving this pack for ages. His family has vowed to take care of this pack for decades and each descendent of them, loyal forever. But he was no match to her, she was a warrior too and most importantly having Alpha's blood in her system made her stronger than others and when she is mated to another Alpha, her limits were above anyone.

She walked away, eyeing others, she hoped she could see who they were, it's obvious that they are hiding something.

Days pass by, Ashley would coincidentally keeps on meeting Kai. They started interacting more. While Kai try to ignore her at first but her optimism and never giving up aura, amazed him. She was brave for him. Kai would sometimes watch her train with other females, he was astonished. Ashley somehow was comfortable around Kai too and, she would not leave a chance to annoy him. Though Kai most of times wouldn't budge but the moment a irk of expression passed his face, Ashley would laugh her face out.
