By The time Ashley reached to the outskirts of pack house, she saw Sarah and some other females struggling to fight with the rouges while trying to secure the children and seniors inside the house to the basement, where they'll be safe. Ashley didn't see any guards around as well. But what shocked her more was how they managed to come so near the pack house escaping from the eyes of warriors and security.

Ashley rounded in front of them, sliding in between the rouges and females of the pack. She glanced sideways towards Sarah and signalled her. Sarah and others made run towards the pack house which made rouges to growl towards her.

Ashley's not so neatly tied up hair, loosen totally out of its final grasp, whooshing each strand around as she turned towards the rouges, her pale eyes turning into flickering shade of golden and somewhat black.

Kai and Alarick realised, Ashley wasn't anywhere near them and the rouges around them, retracting back too like they got what they were there for. Alarick frowned but before his words could reach his lips, he heard a close whisper,

"Ashley...." he turned towards shocked Kai, bearing the same expression

         ------------

Ashley was bruised, her body was a little tired taking down, alone, more than 15 wolfs now. she forgot the count, but her hazy mind saw more of them coming, getting larger as they were waiting for the chance to finally get her alone and attack.

Ashley made another run towards the next two rouges, who were marching towards her direction. Twisting sideways, with her super speed Ashley jumped and grabbed the right one by neck, pushing in the air and smashing it down on the ground. Other bite her on the hand from behind. It pained her hard so Ashley grabbed right at the place of their heart, putting the pressure. While the grip of the rouge on bite increased, Ashley's eyes turned pitch black and without hesitant pushed the Rouge's heart out of her ribcage from the back. Ashley pushed her away, creating a big hole right in her chest as she fell down, lifeless.

Ashley got up with rouge's heart in her hand, others stunned for a movement. She looked around her, there were more than 10 Rouges around her, circling her. The pain in her arm intensified not ready to heal anyhow. Breathing heavily, Ashley looked their way, squeezing the heart mercilessly, crushing it down. It scowled them as they all charged towards Ashley.

Ashley's eyes switching between golden and pitch black which made some standing of them in front of her to stop. Slowly the rain started pouring too, intensifying while Ashley fought them alone. Kai and Alarick running towards pack house, Ashley's scent was very dim to catch but Alarick caught Sarah's plea. When they reached there, they saw Ashley getting attacked by rouges as they circled her, one by one, gathering around her.

Ashley's fogged mind full of rage, calmed a little sensing the scent of freshwater mixed with blood. She looked towards her side,

There he was.

Looking back at her with worry, his face smeared with blood and sweat, his shirt and jeans a little ripped and smudged with mud and blood, he looked worn out.

His eyes widen as his wolf and heart screamed louder than thunder striking up in the sky.

A loud scream escaped Ashley's lips when one of rouge tackled her, biting on her waist, hard. She tumbled down to the ground, a puff of air escaped from her lips as rain intensified like an approaching storm. Clouds rumbling louder too.

As fight broke down, Ashley heard distant footsteps approaching her, one of the rouges was running towards, maybe trying to finish the task. She tried again and again to get up, but she couldn't like she was bolted to ground. She then heard another footsteps coming her way.
Lying on soaking floor, Ashley looked at her side, Alarick was running towards her. His eyes looked frightened, and a small frown was painted on his forehead which was getting covered by his dangling hair, sticking due to pouring rain.

Ashley closed her eyes; she knew Alarick was not gonna make it on time and she was going to die.
Time passed and the chaos around her hushed down while the pain never came. Ashley opened her eyes slowly and looked around at the people looking her way with astonishment, when she finally looked up, there he was.

         ----------

Holding the rouge by his jaw, pulling away from her weakened body in the air before it could even touch her. Ashley could feel his blazing, rage filled eyes. He grabbed the rouge's jaw and ripping him mercilessly into two, right down from his mouth.

Ashley's breathing went more deep as her lunges struggled for air but her eyes never blinked away from him. She glanced to her side and Alarick was standing a little far away from her. Her head again turned back towards her saviour who held animalistic rage in his golden turned eyes. His whole body fuming with anger in the cold brewing rain that poured over then. His clothes clinging to his big body like a second skin, showing his prodding muscles and each of its curves.

Kai threw the pieces away and slowly, hesitantly scooted down next to Ashley.

Other warriors started taking down the remaining rouges when they were trying to escape in forest. Warriors ran after them to catch.

Ashley breathing going deep as she tries to inhale as much as possible, her chest rapidly moving while her body trembling. Everyone confused as to why she wasn't healing normally, like all werewolves. Alarick was now next to her, trying to pick her up. Sarah and others also gathered at the site. Alarick didn't utter a word while commotion was going around them but keep running in a hurry towards hospital.

Louis won't be happy- Ashley thought

Alarick glanced down at her while holding her in his embrace like a princess. Ashley was hit by load of his emotions. Alarick was angry, disturbed, confused but, in all those emotions Ashley also felt was a little, worry. Ashley smiled softly while finally closing her eyes down.
