It's been days that both of them spoke with each other, Ashley ignored him on his face while Alarick did the same. Both were bottled up with the all rage and frustration.

And to top it all, Sarah has become very cautious and was trying to avoid Ashley as much as possible since the new information she discovered about Ashley.

After the training was done for the day, Sarah immediately ran into woods, she was scared so she fastens her pace to walk to her house. She was feeling like someone was following her whenever she would turn around but see no one.

Dawn scares her the most cause her pheromones are loose and uncontrollable. Though she kept taking her inhibitors pills regularly but it was somehow different around Ashley because she found out that Sarah was an omega even when Sarah was on scent masking pills. And, now Sarah has to figure out why and how?

Fogginess increased around the woods as Sarah walked farther, she could here the rustling of leaves from behind and some movement of a person. Now, Sarah was sure someone was there, she wanted to turn around and check but too scared of the outcome. A small string of sweat escaped from back of her neck, her heart pounding loudly and fear visible in her eyes, flickering as she turned around.

Her heart slowed down a little seeing no one behind her and fog clearing a little, showing a visible path. Sarah sighed and took a deep breath in relief. She turned around, her eyes widen and a scream escaped from her mouth,

"Going somewhere, my little Omega?" Ashley's eyes flickered in amusement and with a teasing tone, she started walking a little closer to her prey

Sarah gulped down in fear, hands fidgeting in front of chest, her eyes pupils dilated in fear, looking down in scare. Ashley wanted her to tease some more so she started talking while moved in circle around Sarah, trying to intimidate her

"What happened, my little Omega? Scared of me, because I'm an Alpha"

Standing in front of the Omega, eyes capturing her, Sarah remained unmoving in her position. Sarah glanced up at the Alpha female standing in front of her, she didn't look angry or pissed but the lack of emotions in her eyes and they went to thin down on her form, made Sarah gulp down.

"I...I.." Sarah couldn't utter a coherent sentence.

Ashley took a step in her direction and Sarah moved with shivery legs backwards, not to enrage the Alpha but then Ashley said

"Why scared? Oh, because you think I'll use you for my own advantages, just because I'm an Alpha" Sarah looked up at her in shock

"Aren't I right? That's why you are ignoring me? You think I became your friend because you're an Omega. Well, I shouldn't have been surprised knowing how little faith you have in me but don't worry your secret is safe with me." Ashley sighed, gulping so as to not scare the omega in front of her." she added, "I won't tell anyone"

Ashley patted on Sarah's shoulder, in consolation, walking past her. Sarah felt ashamed of her behavior but all she remembers was, she has always been surrounded by people who either abused her or tried to use her at an advantage for their own benefits, as she was an Omega.

Sarah turned to stop Ashley but became stunned after seeing their Alpha Alarick standing and Ashley glaring back at him, covering Sarah behind her. Sarah held onto Ashley by her arm, making her look down at her height and then Sarah slowly whispered,

"I'm sorry"

"Are you okay?" Alarick asked out for Sarah from a distance with concern

Sarah nodded back to him in positive and with a soft smile of admiration for her leader and concern but when Ashley voice came, Sarah looked up at her in regret

"Why Alpha? scared I'll do something to your pack members"

There was no anger but tone of taunt, glint of amusement and challenge behind it.

"Ash, please" Sarah whimpered behind her

Ashley closed her eyes as she felt tons of emotions pass through her, so she sighed, closing her eyes.

"Go. I'll take care of these things" Ashley said, making Sarah leave for her road

"You cannot command my people like that" Alarick pointed out

Ashley snickered and smirking replied, "Why? Jealous, oblivious Alpha. Besides why is it wrong, when they'll know that I'm their Luna, they have to obey my every command. Maybe they might have sensed it by themselves better than their Alpha" she retorted back.

Alarick grabbed Ashley's hand and dashed them with lightning speed towards his study, slamming the door, locking it behind. Ashley shook her hand out of his hold, glaring at him with hatred.

Looking around Ashley spat in disgust, "You always bring me to your study. Scared! Something might actually happen between us in your room."

"Don't be stupid, nothing will happen between us, you're not my type"

And instantly regretted saying that as he once dated her sister, twin sister.

Ashley tried to block her laughter but it stilled escaped from her lips, she muffled it immediately. Alarick tried to intimidate her by marching towards her direction, blocking her between him and the wall.

Ashley composed herself, trying wriggle out of his cage but Alarick blocked her again by putting both of his hand on either side of her face. Ashley tried to push him away but stunned on the spot as her hand made contact with his chest. Her breath went shallow, eyes went wide and he himself shocked seeing her unknown reaction.

Flashes of different scenario and memories blinked in front of Ashley's eyes. She saw Allison, she was laughing while running, her hair was flying with the air as she looked towards him, Alarick. Ashley got it, it was a memory, memory of both of them, together. She was seeing them, remembering her through the eyes of Alarick.

Ashley finally pushed him away with a painful expression and emotion in her heart, trembling. She was happy that she was able to see Ally again but sad that it was with Alarick. No matter what and how much she'll deny, he was still her mate. Her lips thinned into a line as a bitter-sweet taste of feelings passed through her, painfully striking at the memory of her mate happy with someone, she is not.

Ashley knew she'll never have that kind of happiness in her life and maybe at some level she didn't care and have convinced her heart that she doesn't want it either but then why does it hurt so much? Why is it making her sad?

Ashley was tired and exhausted by trying to always stay positive and strong, she was a human too after all. She wanted her mother's consoling hugs, her sister's support and a father's bright smile to tell her that,

Everything is going to be okay

Her emotions were in a turmoil and Alarick could feel all those feelings surging inside his veins like a poisonous, burning lava. He wanted to rub it, remove the cause of the pain to his mate, maybe hug her even to soothe it down, but can he? How will he take her in his arms and try to console her that it'll be okay when he is the major reason for one for her many pains?

He really wished that they never met like this. That He had recognized his real mate and maybe, if there was not mate bond like this and it was easier to fall in and out of love. But, it has hard, life has never been easy for him then why did he thought that love will ease out, at least, his heart.
