Chapter 9: A non-beneficial contract

Next day, she decided that she'll do practice for her trial but since they didn't have any gym or training basement like her house. Her Best option was open forest. She learned in her training was never giving up. And the most important mission right now was finding who attacked her pack.

When Alarick invited her to come to his pack, she agreed without hesitation. He might have thought that she came with him out of fear or because she was just his mate but the real reason was all these years after her mother's death she couldn't not find a trace of the killers and being the biggest pack and having lots of connections with other packs, she wanted to use it to dig out the information for all the mishappening going in her pack.

She walked out of the pack house, looking for the silent side of the forest to start her practice on solid trees. There weren't lots of houses near that side so when she neared to the woods, she heard someone begging to stop. When she took a closer look, she saw a man and woman fighting, they looked like mates and their child was hiding behind some females. People around there were watching the scene but didn't budge from the place, she walked a little closer when she heard the conversation,

"You have one job, cook for me, clean my house and look after my kid. You are of no use, why do I have you as mate when you don't even know how to cook properly. You are the reason I can't have more kids, you're an infertile piece of...." He was about to raise her hand at her and nobody dared to stop because it's a personal matter

Losers – Ashley rolled her eyes walking away from them as she unfolded her hands

The man was about to hit his mate, when he felt someone grabbing his hand mid-air, before it could touch the lady. The man glared at the intruder who stopped him. He looked at the girl holding his hand

"You..." before he could utter some garbage out of his mouth, Ashley twisted his hand behind his back and pushed him forward, making him fall down on the ground.

The scared woman got up, thanking Ashley, when the man launched towards his mate, trying to grab her, to beat, pushing Ashley out of the way but, Ashley grabbed him by his hair, yanking it back.

"Apologize" Ashley gritted in anger, her voice booming through silent forest

Everybody started murmuring about the ruckus and it went to Alpha. Alarick was in between an important meeting when he got the phone call about the news and he thought, the warrior or maybe the delta will handle the matter but when he heard that Ashley is involved in the matter. He stood up in fury, dropping the chair behind on floor, landing it down with force.

He was fast to leave the building and come to the outskirts area of his pack, where commotion was going on...

"How can she get involve in between mates, that someone's personal problem?"

"She so rude to ask the man to apologize to a woman"

"Yeah, it was the she-wolf's fault, she might have caused something for him to react that way"

"She can't even give him kids and look after his house, no wonder he doesn't want her"

"Yeah, probably he should just leave her and find a better female. I will never want a mate like this"

"So rude to disturb someone's privacy"

Ashley was hearing all the murmurs around her and shook her head in disgust at their mindsets. The guy lying under her foot was still under her heel was stomped over his neck, keeping him down. He keeps squirming and his mate begging Ashley to move her feet, while he keeps trying to push Ashley's leg away but, she didn't budge
