Chapter 13

Bella's P.O.V
When I got home, I walked around to see if Charlie was back yet. He was not. I walked up to my room to take a shower and got cozy clothes on. Suddenly, my phone rang. It was Charlie.
"Hey." Dad said.
"Hey dad, where are you?" I asked.
"I'm at a restaurant; if you want, you can come down here."
"OK, I'm on my way."
I hung up the phone, got my shoes on, grabbed my bag, headed downstairs, and out the door. I then got in my truck and headed to a restaurant where Charlie was.
Jacob's P.O.V
I got home, took a shower, and got ready for patrol tonight. All I wanted to do is be with Bella right now. Suddenly my phone rang. It was Sam.
"Hello." I replied.
"Paul and I are taking shift tonight because Embry and Paul took it earlier, so you get the night off." Sam said.
"Again."
"Yeah."
"OK."
"Bye."
"Bye."
I hung up. What was I going to do for a couple of hours? I walked in the living room and sat down on the couch. A minute later Billy walked by.
"I'm going get something to eat with Charlie. If you want to come, you can." Billy said.
"OK." I said.
I got my coat and went with Billy.
Bella's P.O.V
I sat down at the table with Charlie noticing a couple of other seats open.
"Are other people eating with us?" I asked.
"Yeah, Billy is coming." Dad replied.
Jacob couldn't come because he had patrol, so I guess it was just Billy.
"I'll be right back." I said heading to the bathroom.
I got in the bathroom and looked in the mirror. What if Jacob was the one for me, but Edward was coming back, and I did not know what to do?
Jacob's P.O.V
I walked into the restaurant and saw Charlie at the table but not Bella.
"Where is Bella?" I asked Charlie.
Charlie looked at me.
"She's in the restroom." Charlie replied.
"OK, when the waitress comes by, get me a coke." I said.
Bella's P.O.V
I did not know what to do should I choose Jacob or Edward. I was with Jacob now, but I had feelings for Edward. I walked out of the restroom and went to sit down at the table.
"Hey, Bella." Billy said.
"Hey." I replied.
The waitress came by and took our order.
"I'll get water." I said.
"I'll get a beer and Jacob a coke." Billy said.
"I'll get the same as him." Dad said.
The waitress walked off to get our drinks.
"Jacob is here?" I asked Billy.
"Yeah, he has nothing tonight, so he came here with me." Billy replied.
"Oh, so where is he?"
"He's over in the games section."
"Thanks."
I got up and walked over to the games. I saw Jacob, and I walked over to him and kissed his cheek. He turned around and looked at me.
"Hey, Bella." Jacob said as he turned around and hugged me.
"Hey." I said hugging him too again.
A second later, we pulled away.
"So, why are you not on patrol tonight?" I asked.
"Sam told me that he and Paul are taking shift tonight and I can have time to see you again." Jacob replied.
"You're so sweet you're the greatest boyfriend ever."
I hugged him, he hugged me back, and I stroked his face.
"So Bella, when are you going to the Doctor?" Jacob asked.
"Tomorrow." I replied.
"Tomorrow, are you scared to go?"
"I guess I'm afraid of what they would find."
"I hope they don't say something serious like pregnancy."
Pregnancy I did not think of that. That could be why I was sick a lot.
"Jacob I think I could be pregnant." I said.
"How we didn't do anything?" Jacob asked.
"Jake, how many times have you been in my room and before we became a couple."
"Five, why?"
"Maybe since those days you been comforting me every night and I'm upset maybe I confessed you to have sex with me."
"No Bella that impossible and I would have remembered it."
"Yeah, that's true."
"Let's just go sit down and talk about it later, because you might not even be pregnant."
"Yeah."
He grabbed my hand, and we walked back to our seats and sat next to each other.
"So are you guys together now?" Billy asked.
"Yeah, we started dating this afternoon." Jacob replied.
"That's good I thought you guys would be together."
"Are you OK with this dad?" I asked Dad.
"Yeah." Dad replied with a fake smile.
"Are you sure you don't look happy?"
"Yeah, I'm happy for you guys. I also happy you guys are finally together and that you are over Edward."
"Yeah."
"Are you OK?" Jacob asked.
"Yeah, it's just something is on my mind." I replied.
"What is it?"
He took a sip of his drink.
"It's nothing, really." I said.
"Tell me." Jacob said.
"It's Ed..."
The waiter interrupted me.
"What?" Jacob asked.
"I'll tell you later." I said.
"So what can I get you guys?" The waiter asked.
"I'll get a salad with ranch." I said.
"OK."
"I'll get a hamburger with fries." Jacob said.
"Same." Dad said.
"Same as him." Billy said.
"OK, I'll bring it out as soon as I can." The waitress said.
The waitress walked off, and it was silence. I could not think or pay attention to Jacob. All I could think is that Edward is coming back in a couple of days to get me back and I have to choose between Jacob or him.
"Excuse me I need to get air." I said getting up and walking outside.
"OK." Jacob and Dad said.
I walked outside and sat on the bench. I did not know what to do. Edward left me and broke my heart, Jacob helped me get over him, and I fell in love with him. I did not think I could forgive Edward. Also I was so in love with Jacob more than I was with Edward.
Jacob's P.O.V
What was wrong with Bella? I couldn't help to know what was going on in her head. I wish I could read her mind.
"Excuse me I will go see what's wrong with Bella." I said.
"OK." Billy and Charlie say.
I walk outside and see her on the bench.
"Hey, Bella what's wrong now?" I asked sitting beside her and putting my arm around her.
"It's Edward." Bella replied.
"What about him?"
"Well he's coming back here, and he wants me back."
"I know I told you that. Is the whole family coming back?"
"Yeah, and they are moving back in their home."
"Oh, great more hours of patrol to do,"
She looked at me.
"You make it such a bad thing." Bella said.
"It is. I won't get much time to be with you." I replied.
"It's OK I still have school for a couple more months till I graduate."
"Yeah."
"So anyway I don't know what to do. I'm stuck between you and Edward."
"Who do you love the most?"
"I love you the most."
"Really, I mean that's great."
"I just feel closer to you than with Edward before."
"I love to hear you say that."
"I love you."
She grabbed the back of my head.
"I love you, too." I said.
She kissed me, and I kissed her too. She was such a great kisser. I pulled away and got up.
"We should go back inside. Food could be ready now." I said taking her hand.
"OK." Bella said getting up.
We walked back inside and sat down at the table.
"So Bella, are you OK?" Charlie asked Bella.
"Yeah, I just needed air." Bella replied.
Suddenly the food came, and we ate.
Bella's P.O.V
After we ate, I headed out of the parking lot to my truck next to Charlie's car. Then I heard yelling, and I turned around. It was Jacob.
"Bella, wait up I need to tell you something!" Jacob yelled.
"Yeah." I said.
"I'll see you at home Bella." Dad interrupted getting in the car and heading home.
"OK."
After he pulled away, I turned around and looked back at Jacob.
"I think we can deal with the Edward thing." Jacob said.
"What's your idea?" I asked.
"I will keep him away from you as much as possible. You are my life now, and I don't want him to get in the way of our love for each other."
"That so sweet but that will not keep him away he goes to the same school as me."
"I know I will see."
"Well, I got to go."
"OK."
I kissed him for a minute, pulled away, and hugged him.
"See you later." I said.
"You too." Jacob said.
"Bye."
I got in my truck to drive away.
"Bye." Jacob replied.
