"I am so tired of doing this homework!!", is what I yell as I throw my pencil across the room out of rage. Why must I have Algebra II homework tonight? I'm so stressed out it isn't even funny.

I take one wiff of the room - just a natural everyday breathing routine - when I catch something that makes the hair on my neck stand up and my wolf ears pop out and perk up to the highest point. I finally smell the one scent I have been looking for since it left me. That's right. I smell Lucas!

I shoot up to my feet and immediately dash through my house to follow that magnificient scent that I have been longing for in over 3 months. He is finally home!

Making it down the staircase, I head to the kitchen. Is he in here?

Searching through every nook and cranny, I find nothing. Where is that freaking wolf?!

Jumping up and down is what my wolf is doing while I am searching for this guy who just insists on playing tricks on me.

Finally, his scent infiltrates my nose once again. That sweet aroma. It sends chills down my spine.

I sprint to the door and fling it open to find that I can see him coming from the woods beside my house. Finally, I get to see him!!

I take off in a dash like a mad man and head to him. He plays that cute little smirk on his lips that I always adore. I smile like the goofball I am and continue onward.

Finally, I reach him and leap into his arms.

"So excited to see me are we?", is what he asked me.

I smiled,"Yes! I haven't heard from you since you left!".

He grinned,"Well, I'm here now.".

I leaned in to kiss him, when he holds back. I cock my head to the side,"What are you doing?".

He looks at me simply and says,"Kayleigh. Kayleigh. Ms. Scott...".

"Ms. Scott....Kayleigh Grace Scott!!!" *BAM*

I shoot up in my seat,"Ouch!". Holding my hand on my head is my immediate reaction. "Why did you hit me with a ruler?!".

Mr. Macovitch simply grins,"It wakes you up sooner. Did it not?".

I growled,"Yes sir.".

He turned to walk off. I sighed. Another dream. That is all I have been having since he left. Countless numbers of dreams.

I got tapped on the shoulder,"Ya know, Kayleigh? You should probably chill on the growls. Hunters come here too.".

I looked over my shoulder and glared at him,"Shut up, Blake.".

He snickers then sits back. I will have to slam him into his car again.

Ever since the party at the packhouse, it has been 2 weeks of pure catastrophy. I am pretty certain that Lucas is never coming back. It is way past his time home. I'm getting tired of waiting for him to get here.

Fiddling my pencil about is all that I have really done so far since school started. Nothing else to do, not like I have a mate waiting for me or anything. I mean heck, if he were here, I would be marked already and I would be able to talk to him through our thoughts. The connection would just be there. But, since I am not with him at the moment...I have no freaking clue where he is..

"Ms. Scott, may I see you after class today?", is what comes from the annoyed voice of the man with the too high belt line standing in the front of the class with a ruler in his hand. Probably has my DNA directly on it considering how hard he smacked me with it.
