Hey guys!!! Sorry for the delay! I've been away from home for 3 weeks and got back yesterday! But, I managed to write this chapter and have the next chapter and chapter 19 planned out! Lucas's Point of View:

I smiled the best smile I could hoping it would make a world's difference,"I....I want you to marry me."

Her eyes widened as she let her mouth drop open. Before she could say anything her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she fainted. Luckily she fell back on her bed.

I sighed and pulled a facepalm. I just suggested the words "marriage" and she faints on me. Seriously!? Way to go Lucas Young, ya made your mate faint..way to go. Ugh.

I reached to grab her so I could adjust her to a good sleeping position. She would wake up with a aching back if she slept the way she was now. Then again, I could offer her a back rub if she did.

I was tempted.

I smirked, but continued moving her.

After adjusting her under the blanket and fixing her pillow underneath her head properly, I slid my hand down her hair and planted a small yet tender kiss on her forehead and said,"I love you". I meant every word too. I smiled at the thought of her saying it back to me. But, I won't rush that. I mean heck, we just started dating. I don't want to pressure her into anything.

Wait, did I seriously just say that? I just asked her to marry me for crying out loud!!! Talk about rushing it!! I am such an idiot...I got caught up in the moment and busted out the marriage card..wow.

Hey, I know. When she wakes up I'll just act like I didn't ask her. Maybe she'll forget.

Hopefully.

'She won't forget you moron. You asked her to marry you for crying out loud! How could she forget? I can hear our mate in her thoughts right now! She can't stop thinking about it!!!', my wolf said to me.

Crap, he's gonna start up again. I sighed,'Dude, if you would stop talking about it, then her wolf won't be able to think about it. I know you two must talk all the time, but SHUT UP for once.'.

He growled at me, but obeyed.

I turned to walk out of the room, when I stopped to think about something. What if those Rouges know what she smells like and comes to her room tonight? I'll be at my house and won't be able to get here in time. Sure, Jason is down the hall - as well as Olivia and her parents - but they aren't an Alpha. What if the Alpha of the Rouges little "gang" come too? They'll be defenseless.

I know, I'll stay here. Jason won't be able to hurt me if he comes in and Olivia won't care. Also, Kayleigh's parents are usually gone in a few hours to head to work. I mean, we are mates anyway. I won't do anything. I'll just sleep in here and make sure nothing comes after her. That's ok. Right?

I shrug it off not giving it much more thought and turned, making my way over to Kayleigh's bed. As I approached the bed, I noticed that she adjusted to the bed a little bit more while I was at the door. She had pulled the cover over her mouth and her nose was snuggled into the blanket, making her nose scrunch up a little bit and it was so adorable. She pulled her knees up a little bit to be in a ball position. Her little ears were poking out of the top of the blanket. Her light blonde hair was pulled up in a ponytail with hairs leaving it. Her bangs were hanging over the side of her forehead, completely covering a half of it. Her eyelids were shut gently and her eyelashes were looped out perfectly like little crescent moons. She looked so cute while sleeping. Yep, my mate was adorable.
