Chapter 17: Confirmed

Celine bought me a pregnancy test, she said that I should try one. Sinabi ko din kasi sakanya na something happened between me and Sandro. So, it's possible na I'm pregnant.

"Ate.....Kung ano man ang maging resulta always remember that I'm always here for you" Celine hugged me and handed me the test kit

Pumasok ako sa bathroom ko to try the pregnancy test kit, I'm nervous and scared at the same time.

After using the pregnancy test, hindi ko muna ito tinignan at iniwan nalang muna ito sa may gilid ng bathroom sink ko.

"What's the result ate? Is it positive or negative?" she asked as I exit the bathroom

"I don't know, hindi ko pa nakikita" I replied and she entered the bathroom

A few minutes later, she came out of the bathroom crying and she immediately approached me for a hug.

"W-why?" I asked

"Ate.... it's positive" she replied

Hindi ko alam kung ano ang mararamdaman ko, I'm nervous and scared but happy at the same time.

She wiped her tears "Magpa check up ka na ate"

"Samahan mo ako, natatakot ako" I stuttered

"I will, ate. Hindi ko kayo pababayaan" she said as she caressed my tummy

We are on our way to the hospital for a check up, Celine booked an appointment for me.

Habang nasa sasakyan, Hindi maiwasan na maisip ko ang mga 'what if' na maaaring mangyari sa akin at sa anak ko.

"Ate...Kung totoo man na buntis ka, tutulungan kita sa pag aalaga pati na din sa mga gastusin" Celine broke the silence

"Salamat" nakayuko kong pagpapasalamat

Nang makarating kami sa ospital ay naghintay lamang kami saglit hanggang sa matawag ang pangalan ko. Ilang saglit pa ay nakapasok na kami sa clinic.

"Ms. Diaz, right?" the doctor asked and I nodded

The doctor asked me about what I feel for the past days and weeks, and I also told her that I already took a pregnancy test.

She asked me to lay down sa bed para maisagawa ang ultrasound.

"Can you see this?" she asked and I nodded "That's your baby" she said happily "And based sa last period mo....wait....you are...8 weeks pregnant" she added

My heart is so happy when the doctor confirmed that I am pregnant. But, I am also scared at the same time.

"Gusto niyo marinig ang heartbeat ni baby?" the doctor asked and we nodded

"Can you hear that? Your baby is healthy"

Celine took her camera and record the moment we heard my baby's heartbeat.

The doctor wiped the gel thingy na nasa tummy ko, kinausap muna niya ako about sa mga dapat at hindi dapat kong gawin.

"Uhmmm..may I ask kung nasaan ang father ni baby?" the doctor asked, Celine and I looked at each other

"Uhmm nasa i-ibang bansa po k-kasi, dun po siya nag wo-work" sagot ko

"Ah okay, sana bago ka manganak makauwi na siya" usal niya "Also...I cannot give the exact date kung anong araw siya lalabas, but I'm sure that by the month of September ang kabuwanan mo" she added

The doctor prescribed me a vitamins and she also said that I should avoid stress and heavy activities. Also, I need to eat healthy foods and avoid too salty and sweet foods.

"Congratulations ate!" Celine hugged after we entered the house

Humiwalay ako sa yakap "Thank you" I smiled

"Uhmm, may itatanong lang sana ako" aniya

"What is it?" I asked

"Do you have any plans na ipaalam kay Kuya Sandro na buntis ka?" She asked

"Wala" I simply answered

"But why?" she asked, again

"Do you think ipapaalam ko pa sakanya na buntis ako after all? After nung ginawa niyang panloloko? No way!" asik ko

"Kalma ka lang ate, baka mapaano si baby" she caressed my back and inalalayan ako makaupo sa sofa

"Kahit sa parents niya?" she asked

"Wala ni isa sa pamilya niya" I answered

"Ate, I understand you pero don't be too hard on yourself naman. Kahit siguro sa nanay ni Kuya Sandro sabihin mo" payo niya

"Alam mo Celine, naiisip ko din naman na sabihin kahit kay Tita Liza man lang, kaso natatakot ako" I worriedly answered

"They deserve to know naman, kahit isa lang sa pamilya niya" she shrugged her shoulders

"I'll try, but not now" saad ko atsaka pumunta sa kwarto ko

Nagpahinga ako saglit at nag isip- isip ng plano para sa buhay namin ng anak ko. Pinag iisipan ko din kung sasabihin ko kahit kay Tita Liza man lang ang pagbubuntis ko.

"My baby, kapit ka lang diyan. I will do my very best na alagaan at mapabuti ang kalagayan mo. Mommy loves you so so much, more than my life" I said as I caressed my tummy
