--Chapter 2~ Explanations --
Tris' Pov
I keep running until I get to his apartment. Number 46.
I start knocking on the door. I'm not crying anymore, but my cheeks are probably tear stained. I don't care if Tobias sees me crying. Not anymore.
I know he won't judge me and he'll still treat me as if I'm strong.
I start to knock on the door, waiting for an answer
Tobias' Pov
I wake up to the sound of someone knocking on the door in my living room. What's going on?
I rub my eyes and look at the clock that sits on my bedside table. 3:18.
Who the hell needs to see me at three in the morning? Is this Zeke's idea of a practical joke or something? I feel like this is something a Pedrad would do.
I walk to the door and hear a muffled noise on the other side. It sounds like crying. Great, Zeke is crying at my door. Yep, he is defiantly drunk.
I open the door expecting to find a drunk Zeke, but I instead find a sad-looking Tri who looks to have been previously crying. Although she isn't crying any more, her cheeks are tear-stained and she still sounds as if she is.
Why was Tris crying? Who did this to her?
I will kill them.
I open the door wider and she basically collapses in my arms and starts crying again.
"Tris, what's wrong," I ask, leading her over to the couch in the living room. "I don't like seeing you like this."
I actually HATE seeing her like this.
"Nothing, I'm fine.....I'm fine..." She answers, wiping tears away.
"No, you're not fine. What's wrong?"
She doesn't answer and instead turns away, looking down at the ground, slightly embarrassed.
"Did someone try to hurt you?" I ask.
"No, nothing like that. I just had a bad dream, that's all. I'm fine." She says after she has finally stopped crying. She slowly sits up properly and leans against the corner of the couch.
My shirt is now tear-stained from her tears, but I don't really care.
"That must have been some bad dream, then, to get you to react like this." I say, standing up.
She gives me a look: Where are you going?
"I'll be right back." I say to her as I walk to the kitchen.
Tris' Pov
Tobias comes back a from the kitchen a few seconds later, a glass of water in his hands.
"Explain what happened from the beginning. I hear telling people about your problems helps you feel better." He says, handing me the glass of water and sitting beside me on the couch.
I start to explain a summarized version of the dream, just leaving in all of the deaths and important events. He sits besides me and listens, not interrupting once.
If I had tried to tell Christina about my dream, she probably would have been asking me questions every other second. She was Candor once, after all. In my opinion you will always have some of your original faction in you unless, I guess, you really didn't belong there.
