Last night I had a really good dream that honestly sounds like a good book idea, but I'm not sure if I should start writing it or not since it's not fanfic and I've never attempted to post a non-fanfic.

--Chapter 11~ Secrets and Engagements --

(Time Lapse: 4 months in the future)

Tobias' Pov

I wake up and find that Tris is missing from besides me on the bed, where she usually sleeps.

I pull the blankets off of me and get out of bed, leaving our bedroom.

That's right, our bedroom.

About two weeks ago Tris decided to move into my apartment and give up hers. She already stayed at my apartment most nights anyway, so why have a second apartment that no one uses?

I walk into the kitchen and see her sitting at the table, eating a bowl of cereal and flipping through a magazine of some sort.

"Good morning." I say, walking in the kitchen and giving her a kiss on the lips.

"Good morning to you, too." She responds.

I walk over to the cabinet and grab two slices of bread. I then put them in the toaster, planning to obviously have toast for breakfast.

While I'm waiting for the bread to pop out of the toaster, I hear the door-bell ring.

"I'll get that!" I tell Tris, who looks to sluggish to stop eating and get the door anyway.

I walk to the door, expecting to see Christina standing on the other side. She typically comes over every morning to have a cup of coffee with Tris and discuss whatever the usually discuss.

When I open the door I don't see Christina.

I see Zeke.

"Dude, can I talk to you?" he asks, a nervous look apparent on his face. "In private."

"Sure, Tris won't be able to hear you from here," I say, opening the door up wider so he can step in and then shutting it behind him. "What's wrong?"

Zeke starts to sit on the couch, but then stands up again, reconsidering his action.

"I need your help with something." he says.

"Sure, anything, what?"

Instead of verbally answering, Zeke pulls a velvet box out of his pocket. He opens the box to show me the content. A small diamond ring.

"I was just going to see..." Tris starts, walking into the living room. She stops in her tracks when she sees Zeke standing in front of me, a ring in his hand.

She gives us a strange look and then turns around and leaves the room, probably thinking we're insane.

"I'm planning on proposing to Shauna." he mutters. It's about time he finally decided to pop the question. They've been dating for almost three years, after all. For typical Dauntless couples that's a long time to be dating without marriage.

"Does anyone else know?" I ask.

"No, you're the first person I've told," he says. "I just bought the ring last night."

"When are you planning on asking her?"

"Tonight," he looks more excited than nervous now. He's probably been planning this for a while. "I'm taking her out to dinner and then after that."

"Good luck, man."

"So you think it's a good idea?" he asks, still slightly uncertain.

"Hell yeah, I think it's a great idea. It's about time you two kids decided to get hitched." I joke.
