-Chapter 23~ Uriah and Nightmares-

Tobias' Pov

"Tobias Eaton, what the hell is your problem?" I hear someone yell. I blink a couple of times, trying to process what's going on.

I look up and see Uriah standing at the end of my bed. Tris, who was sleeping peacefully next to me, is now stirring awake.

"What the fuck, Uriah?" I ask. It's not everyday you wake up seeing Uriah standing at the foot of your bed.

"How did you even get in here?" Tris asks, her voice still messed up from sleeping.

"We can talk about that later," Uriah says. "Right now we need to talk about how dumb and rude your boyfriend is!"

"Uriah, I'm not quite sure what I did, but I'm sorry for whatever it was," I say, trying to end the conversation and get back to sleep. "Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to go back to sleep and spend my vacation day the way I want to spend it."

"I do mind! I'm very pissed at you and you have the audacity to try to blow this whole thing away. You can't just fix everything by ignoring your problems!" He yells back.

Tris sits up, grabs her pillow and a blanket, and starts walking toward the door.

"I'm going to sleep in the living room while you two sort this out," she explains. "I'm still exhausted and I don't really care about your problems."

"Now," I start, sitting up and facing Uriah. "Do you mind calmly explaining what I did?"

"Mr. Eaton! You let Christina stuff our child in a purse! Now she's all wrinkled and stuff! Can you imagine being stuffed into a purse?" he starts ranting.

"You also," he continues. "Let Marlene leave my by a tree! I realized that everyone was gone and stood up, trying to find you guys. After I looked for a while I realized I had forgotten my chocolate chips. When I went back to find them I discovered they were missing. Some stole my chocolate chips! Can you believe that?"

"Wow, that's terrible." I say mockingly, not actually giving a fuck about his stupid chocolate chips.

"And then," he continues, interrupting me. "I had to try to find you guys which didn't really work out. I circled Navy Pier like three times somehow and then by that point the sunlight was coming up and I got really confused because I've never been there during the day. I spent forever trying to get back home. When I finally saw the train tracks I tried to jump onto the train, but slipped and hit my head on the metal floor of the train."

Uriah pauses his story and shows me a bruise on his forehead.

"I accidently fell asleep in the train, so I missed the stop for Dauntless and had to spend forever in that fucking train car, waiting for it to pass our headquarters. When I got home it was already morning practically, so I tried going back to Mar and I's apartment, but she had locked me out! I tried knocking but she didn't hear me or something so I came here. I happened to have a spare key for your apartment in my pocket so I let myself in. I walked into your bedroom to scold you, did anyone ever tell you how weird you look when you sleep? That's when you woke up and yelled at me and here I am."

"You watched me sleep?" I ask, a little creeped out but not that much since it's Uriah and I expect nothing else from him.

"Not usually, only sometimes." He answers.

"What!??!?!" I yell. That's not exactly the answer I was looking for!

"Don't worry, buddy," he says, patting my head. "It's only happened a few times, so you have nothing to worry about."
