-Chapter 21~ Double Date-

Tris' Pov

"Remind me why we agreed to do this again." I tell Tobias who is standing in front of the mirror in our bedroom, tying his tie.

"Because, believe it or not, Lauren used to be one of my best friends and things between us have gotten awkward, I want to fix that," he answers. "Also, Eric is a very powerful person and I don't want him to hurt you."

I walk over to the mirror and look at myself, making sure my hair looks nice and my dress isn't wrinkled weirdly or anything.

That's right, we have dinner plans. Plans to go on a double date with Lauren and Eric.

I'd rather attend an Erudite meeting about water purification.

"Do you really think I can't take care of myself?" I ask him, questioning how he views my strength.

"Of course I do," he answers. "But I love you and I don't want anything to happen to you. Plus, this won't be that bad."

"This won't be that bad?" I ask. "You do remember that we have to spend the evening with bitch one and bitch two, right?"

"Eric isn't a bitch. He's just an idiotic asshole whom I want to kill."

"Then why did you agree to dinner?" I ask, not completely understanding his logic. At all.

"I don't know, I just did, okay? They saw us earlier today, so they'll know we're lying if we somehow back out if it and pretend to be sick."

"Damn it, Tobias," I say, pissed of slightly. " I love you, but this was a real pansycake move."

"Pansycake? Who are you, Uriah?"

"God no!" I answer. I mean, I love Uri and all, but I could never imagine acting like him. He's too.....insane and childish. I'm much more strict and normal, not in a party-pooper way, though. I can have fun sometimes.

"Thankfully! If I had to deal with two Uriahs, and live with one of them, I'd probably throw myself off of the chasm or something."

"The world has one to many Uriahs as it is!" I add, laughing jokingly.

"That is very true." Tobias agrees.

I walk into the living room once I've finished getting ready and grab my phone, making sure it's fully charged. Tobias follows behind me, grabbing his phone as well as the keys, following me out the door and locking it behind me.

We head down to the restaurant. When we get there we see Lauren sitting next to Eric at a table and go join them.

"Hey, guys!" Lauren says, enthusiastically.

I look over at Eric and gasp in horrification. Eric now has a new hairdo, a shaved hairdo.

If you thought Eric looked bad with slicked-back, black hair, you don't even want to see what he looks like now.

"Hey, Eric." I say warily.

He just looks up and gives me a nod, turning down to look back at his menu.

I sit down next to Tobias, across from Eric. Lauren is now sitting across from Tobias. She's wearing a dress with a very low cut, trying to probably attract Tobias' attention or something. Even though she claims she's over him, I don't believe her.

"Is everybody ready to order there drinks?" The waitress comes around.

We nod yes and all order our drinks. The waitress leaves, saying she'll be coming back soon with some breadsticks and salad.

I had just started flipping through the menu when I heard Lauren asking Tobias some personal questions.

"So, Four, how old were you when you lost your virginity?" she asks, chewing on the straw of her drink seductively.

"I'm not answering that." Hen says, looking at his menu while blushing.

"Why? Have you not lost it yet," she asks again. "I mean, that would make sense considering you're dating a Stiff."

"A former Stiff." I remind her, butting into the conversation. She gives me a glare, so I decide to shut up.

"I have," he admits. "Not that it's any of your business."

"Is he good," Lauren asks, directing her attention to me. "I'm assuming it's you, considering I don't think he's had that many other girlfriends. Have you Four?"

"Have I what?" he asks her, clearly pissed.

"Have a lot of girlfriends. How many have you had?" she asks again. I notice that somehow her cleavage has become even more apparent. I wasn't even sure that was possible, since she was wearing such a slutty dress to begin with, but apparently I was wrong.

"That's none of your business." he answers.

"Fine," she snaps. She then directs her attention back to me." So is he good in bed?"

"I don't know why that should concern you." I snap back at her.

"God, you two our feisty people," Lauren complains, as if she's done nothing wrong. "I mean, Tris is probably on her period or something, but I don't know what your excuse is, Four."

The waitress comes around and sets a basket of breadsticks and a bowl of salad on the table. She also takes our orders for our main course.

Once the waitress leaves, I see bald-Eric scoop some of the salad out of the bowl and place it on his plate. I think he's other completely oblivious to Lauren's conversation or he just doesn't care.

"Well, if you want to add another girlfriend to your small list, I know someone who is willing to go out with you. She'd also be willing to do many other things, if you were up to it." she winks.

"Lauren, if you don't stop then we're leaving." He warns.

"Baby, stop. There's no need to get mad. I'm just trying to learn more about my friend. " she says.

"Don't call me baby. The only person who can call me that is sitting right next to me and is ten times better then you ever will be!" he threatens, putting his arm around me.

"Have you ever been with a guy?" she asks, ignoring what he said.

Tobias just spits out his drinks and glares at her.

"No I haven't. If you don't stop we're leaving!" he says.

"Alright fine, I'm sorry. I'll stop now." She says.

I grab a breadstick from the basket and rip a piece off, throwing it into my mouth.

"So, Four?" Lauren asks. She's changed her attitude and is now trying to act cute and innocent.

"What?" he asks.

"How big is it?"

Tobias' face instantly gets red, more out of anger than embarrassment.

What the fuck is her problem? Can't she see I'm sitting right here? Maybe that's why she's doing this. She probably just wants to annoy me.

"We're leaving!" he says, standing up from his chair. I stand up and follow him.

"No, baby, wait!" she exclaims.

Without turning back to answer her, Tobias walks out of the restaurant as fast as he can, me following directly behind him.
