Writer's pov
The sun settled over the horizon and the dusty roads leading to Chandrapur was abuzz with excitement. So many villagers were waiting there. It was a huge arrangement.
Veer held payal's hand tightly. They were on the royal carriage. At first veer hesitated to get on that but when payal's general touch and reassuring smile encouraged him, he stepped abroad.
The villagers cheers, screams broke through the air. Everyone accompanied their arrival. Veer couldn't believe his eyes that so many things have changed. The soft glow of diyas and the sweet fragrance of incense sticks filled the air, creating a sense of serenity amidst the bustling crowd.
The roads were decorated with rose petals. It looked beautiful.
" Rajkumar veer ki jay ho! Rajkumar veer ki jay ho!"
Veer heard the echo of those words after so long. In this one year, he had almost forgotten that once his identity was a prince.
As the carriage began to move, payal's heartbeat started to race. Everything was so new to her. Once veer left Chandrapur with her and that scratched her mind forever. She couldn't believe that she was also riding that royal carriage, being a part of the royal family.
The carriage wheels turned, carrying them towards the palace, where a grand welcome was awaiting . Veer's heart pounded with so much love when he witnessed Chahat standing in the entrance of the palace. She looked different with the vermillion on her forehead.
That reminded veer that his little sister has grown up as well.
Finally, the carriage stopped infront of the entrance, just a few steps away from where everyone stood. Taking a deep breath, veer took his first step off the carriage followed by his second step, veer raised his hand for payal to hold it, and come with him as well and she did.
Their heartbeat synced as they saw everyone who were waiting for them with wide genuine smiles on their faces, the drums playing, with the whole ground decorated with rose petals, veer and payal took their first step into the palace where it all began, the palace where their love bloomed. The palace which they left hand in hand and are now returning with hand in hand as well.
"Veer bhai! Payal bhabhi!" Chahat yelled their name with excitement, walking, almost running towards them.
the sight of chahat being happy, hearing his sister calling his name, seeing her running towards them, made veer happy and almost tear up, which payal noticed and gently squeezed veer's hand. Looking at them, veer smiled, realizing now, he got alot more then what he had to begin with.
Chahat ran and hugged veer making veer embrace her as well,
"Are are, Sambhal ke" veer said as he saw chahat running in her heavy lehenga.
(Slowly, watch out)
"Apko hamari bilkul yaad nai ayi na?" Chahat pouted, still hugging, holding tight on veer.
(You didn't miss me at all right?)
"Nahi Pagli, bohot ayi" veer said, placing a affectionate kiss on chahat's forehead.
(No stupid, I missed you alot)
Veer noticed her vermillion there and stared there for sometime and then asked, "are you happy? "
" So much after your arrival now" Chahat replied with a grin.
"Di ne toh shaadi karli..humein dekh..bhai ke wajah se shaadi tak atak gaya mera"
Stavya didn't forget to add his dramatic from the behind making them all laugh.
"Bhabhi!" Chahat called out to payal, welcoming her with a big smile. Though everything felt so unnatural to payal..
