It was absolutely freezing outside as the snow continued to fall lightly. It was supposed to end soon but not before they had gotten almost a foot of snow in their front yard. It had made for a fun morning and running around, acting like little kids, building a snowman and having a snowball fight and led to them making out in the snow. After a while, it got to be too cold and they headed inside, and shed their wet jackets and snow pants in an attempt to warm up.

"Thanks for putting that snowball down my pants, Mer." Derek laughed, as he took off his soaking wet outerwear.

""Anytime." Meredith giggled, hanging up her scarf.

"That...was cold."

"It was supposed to be." She replied, tossing her coat to the side.

"Now my ass is probably bright red and going to get frost bite." He said, pulling his hat off.

"You can't blame that one me."

"You put the snow in my pants."

"It wasn't my idea."

"Who's was it?"

"The baby." She giggled, kicking her socks off.

"Oh...It was the baby's idea." He laughed.

"Hmm...it was." She replied, pulling the sweatshirt over her head.

"What do you think about a fire?" Derek asked, pulling off his sweater.
"Sounds nice." She whispered, pulling off another log shirt, revealing a tight black t-shirt that fit her new body, very snugly.

"Will you sit in here with me if I make it?" He smiled.

"Of course." She whispered, wrapping her arms around his waist.

"Want to grab some blankets?"

"Sure." She whispered, kissing him lightly.

"Okay. I'll be right here." He breathed, kissing her back.

"Okay." She breathed, pulling away and leaving him there. Her body was tired, completely tired and a little num from being out in the cold for so long. But a fire and blankets sounded amazing. Maybe even a candy cane. Definitely a candy cane. "Do you want the green one?"

"The fleece one?"

"Yeah!" She called, sorting through the hall closet, grabbing another blanket.

"Yeah. The green one's good." He yelled back as he started to put logs into the fire place.

"Okay." She shouted, leaving the hallway closet with three big blankets. She smiled as she came down the stairs, watching him start a fire in their newly Christmas decorated living room. "I'm back."

"Good." He smiled, putting one last log in the fireplace.

"How's your ass?" She asked, putting the blankets down and walking over to their Christmas tree, flicking on the lights.

"Still pretty cold." He laughed, sitting down in front of the fire and warming up his hands.

"Okay." She laughed, picking a candy cane off of the tree.

"If you keep taking those off the tree, they're going to be one." He laughed, shaking his head.

"We can always put more on." She said, peeling off the wrapper.

"I think we bought all of the candy canes we could find."

"I bet we didn't."

"Okay fine...but we bought a lot." Derek laughed.
