Damien nodded to the guards around them, telling them silently to watch around. He then followed Xander and Hunter who each was carrying one of the twins, inside of the modern-looking building.

They went up to the second floor using the elevator. The doors opened and Sofia immediately forgot her whines of fear. Even the three adults were looking around amused. The kid's clinic had a very warm atmosphere. The walls had been painted light yellow, pink, blue, and purple and toys had been put here and there on the counters or small coffee tables.

"It's oddly silent here." whispered Xander as he watched around warily and tightened his hold on Sofia. No one was in the sight and everywhere was silent.

"Hello!" a soft voice called and the three men turned toward the source and were greeted by a beautiful woman in white robes watching them with a smile. She looked pale and her eyes looked a bit tired but none of them felt any bad vibes coming from her. She looked harmless. She was thin with curves in the right places and her dark hair had been pulled up into a neat bun. She looked professional. "How can I help you?"

"Hello, pretty lady." said Shawn, breaking the silence and waving to the woman shyly.

"Why, hello, little man." said the woman with a warm smile.

Hunter chuckled and shook his face and kissed Shawn's face. "Like father, like son." he said under his breath, and Xander and Damien smirked. "You will be a charming prince when you grow up for sure."

Damien stepped toward the woman and frowned when she gulped and discreetly took a step back. A fearful shadow passed her eyes for a second before she covered it with her professional smile. Sure, he and Xander looked scary with their emotionless faces and tattoos, but surely not that scary to scare her this much, right?

"We are here for the little twins." he explained and pointed to Sofia and Shawn. "There are here to get a flu vaccine. Shawn and Sofia King."

"Ah, yes." said the woman and walked behind the counter. Damien didn't miss her trembling hands before she went behind the desk and began to type something on the computer. Maybe Mason or Bella had threatened the doctors before. Bella could be quite scary if she wanted.

"We were waiting for you." said the woman and looked up from the screen with her signature smile. "I'm Dr. Cample. I will be tending to the little angels today."

"But we've been told Dr. Conners will be here today." said Xander as he stepped forward suspiciously. He couldn't help but feel something was off about the place. Maybe Sofia's desperate pleads had caused him to feel bad.

"Unfortunately, Dr. Conners has faced some family issues and was forced to travel across the country for a week last night." explained the woman. "If you want you can check the identities and etc with the parents of the twins. But I assure you that I will take the utmost care of your niece and nephew."

"Xandy, I want to leave soon." said Sofia and leaned her head on Xander's shoulder and caused him to snap out of his thoughts.

"I think it's alright." said Xander as he rubbed Sofia's back. The woman looked just too harmless. "Just make it quick. They are afraid of here."

The doctor stepped forward. "Of course. I will make it as quick as possible." she said and gestured for the twins. "Now, if you pass me these angels I will start soon."

"We will come as well to the examination room." said Hunter and pulled Shawn out of reach.

The woman smiled again. She was patient but looked like someone who was explaining an obvious fact to a three-year-old. "I understand your protectiveness, sir." she said. "But with all due respect you three look more anxious than the two kids. Your presence in the examination room will only cause them more fear. You will try to comment especially at the time of injection and made the kids panic. It's normal for guardians and ..."
