"Alf!" squeaked Anna and jumped from her seat and ran toward Alfonso who entered the living room where she and Maria were currently sitting in.

"Hey! Sweetheart!" grinned Alfonso and wrapped his arms around her small body. He then put his hands on her shoulders and pulled her back a bit, looking at her up and down. "How are you?"

"Alf, a month has passed. I'm fine." smiled Anna.

"That's good to hear." Alfonso nodded in approval and kissed her cheek. He then turned and looked at Maria who was watching them with a soft smile. "And how is my amore?" he asked and walked to Maria and the two hugged each other.

"I'm fine totally." answered Maria. "How are you? How were things in Spain?"

Alfonso sat and gestured for them to sit as well. The sisters sat on a couch in front of him.

"Well, I can say everything is under control now." answered Alfonso. "Sorry that I left soon and returned late. I had to. Chaos had rosed in Spain with the news of Gomez's death. It was a little hard to destroy all of Santiago's network and gain control over Spain."

Maria raised an eyebrow. "So that means you are the strongest now?" she asked.

Alfonso scratched the back of his neck. "Actually, I'm the Don now." he answered and glanced at the sisters, not sure of their reaction. "The Don of Spain's Mafia."

"Wow." muttered Anna while staring at Alfonso wide-eyed.

"Are you going to follow the rules of the previous Dons to keep the Mafia?" asked Maria expectantly.

"You mean the human trafficking and some other stuff?" asked Alfonso with a raised eyebrow. He sighed and continued once he saw Maria sitting stiffer. "Of course, I won't continue human trafficking. I destroyed all the branches. But please understand that our job is not rainbows and cupcakes. We are Mafia. We are illegal. We will sell weapons and drugs and we will deal with devils around the world."

He then stared into Maria's eyes sternly, not breaking the eye contact, until Maria sighed and dropped her head.

"Sorry, Alf." said Maria. "I understand where you are coming from. My own boyfriend works for a Mafia as well. That's enough for me that you cut down the human trafficking. I know you are a good man. I trust you."

A smile slowly appeared on Alfonso's face as Maria said those words. "Thanks, Mary." he said. "Your trust means a lot to me. You both are my only family, my sisters."

He then grabbed the briefcase he had brought and pulled out a folder from inside. "That reminds me." he said and held the folder in front of Maria and Anna. "This is for you two."

Maria's brows furrowed as she grabbed the folder. Anna scooted closer to her to see what was inside. Inside the folder were a few documents and papers.

"Is this ...?" asked Maria and looked up at Alfonso who nodded.

"You were Santiago's only family as well." he explained. "It was hard to send the police away. But legally, all of his properties and millions of money belong to you two now. Actually, we found his last will in the safe in his study. Shockingly, He has left everything for you. You just have to come to Spain and sign a few documents."

Anna and Maria looked at each other and then fell silent. It was hard to believe that he had still cared for them when he was inflicting pain on their lives at the same time. It was hard to believe all of his behavior toward them was his sick way of consoling his loneliness. And it made the sisters only mourn for him more. Even Anna could remember the time he was a sweet brother to them.
